As a seasoned gamer and binge-watcher with a soft spot for quirky superhero shows, I must say that The Umbrella Academy has been an absolute rollercoaster ride of emotions! The dance numbers have become a staple of this series, and knowing that Tom Hopper’s wife choreographed the latest one is just the icing on the cake.

ComicBook talk to Tom Hopper, about his part in the final season of the Netflix show. The actor revealed that his wife actually choreograph the dance sequence that fans are caught onto once these episodes aired. Hopper gave us the scoop on the red carpet. “You know who choreographed that? Was my wife Laura,” The Umbrella Academy star revealed. It’s become an accepted part of every season of the Netflix series to have a massive choreographed dance number. While this isn’t exactly that, it does give the fans a little something to chew on. (Let’s be honest that Footloose sequence still lives rent free in the fans’ heads.)
As a gamer, let me tell you, when I stepped into that first rehearsal for the dance sequence, I had no idea what was in store. Frankly, my mind was racing, trying to figure out how to approach it. When I returned, I realized it wasn’t pretty – a mess, if you will. To be honest, I didn’t know how to pull it off. But luckily, Laura, with her professional dancing background, stepped in and showed me some moves. With a bit of tweaking, I managed to make them look like they belonged to Luther, my character.
