As a die-hard fan of The Walking Dead universe, I’ve been through the apocalypse, zombies, and more twists than I can count! And now, with the announcement that three Spanish actors are joining Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride as series regulars in season 3 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, I’m beyond excited!


In a new development, the world of “The Walking Dead” is bidding farewell to France and welcoming Spain instead. AMC has revealed that three Spanish actors will join Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride as regular cast members in the third season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” which is currently under production in Madrid. After spending two seasons in France, including the upcoming season 2 set to premiere on September 29th, the spinoff featuring Daryl and Carol will delve deeper into Europe by filming extensively across Spain’s Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia regions

At the yearly FesTVal television festival held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, actors Eduardo Noriega (known for films like “The Devil’s Backbone” and “Vantage Point”), Íscar Simón Jaenada (recognized from “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and “Hernán”), and Alexandra Masangkay (famous for “Días mejores” and “Valley of Shadows”) have been chosen as series regulars. Additionally, Candela Saitta (from “Más allá de mañana”) and Hugo Arbués (notable for the “Through My Window” series and “Past Lies”) will join the new cast in recurring roles

In 2025, season 3 of the series will air on AMC and AMC+. As per the official summary, Daryl Dixon (played by Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride) are seen embarking on a journey in an attempt to return home to their loved ones. However, their path becomes more convoluted, guiding them through uncharted territories with constantly shifting environments, showcasing the diverse impacts of the Walker apocalypse along the way

In the upcoming third season, Andrew Lincoln, Norm Reedus, and Robert Kirkman serve as executive producers alongside Scott M. Gimple (The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live), Angela Kang and Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), Jason Richman (Stumptown), Daniel Percival (The Man in the High Castle), and Steven Squillante (Outside the Wire). Additionally, Silvia Aranzuela (The Diplomat) and Jesús de la Vega (The Innocent) from Nima Stillking will join as executive producers for this season

Titled “The Walking Dead: The Book of Carol” featuring Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, Eriq Ebouaney, and Manish Dayal, this series kicks off its six-episode season on September 29th.
