The Wheel finale won’t air this weekend as BBC makes way for Michael McIntyre celebration

As a connoisseur of comedy and a dedicated follower of both The Wheel and Michael McIntyre, I find myself in a bit of a pickle this Saturday evening. With The Wheel taking a brief hiatus to make way for McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-Up Special, I’ll have to quench my thirst for laughter with the iconic London Palladium performance.

Although the final episode of this season’s The Wheel is scheduled, it won’t be broadcast on its regular Saturday slot this week.

Instead, a special stand-up comedy show by Michael McIntyre will replace the original program at 8:35pm, following Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday, 14th December. This is to honor and celebrate 25 years of the comedian’s career – Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-Up Special.

Michael McIntyre marks 25 years in stand-up comedy by capturing a performance of his most recent globally sold-out show, titled ‘Macnificent,’ for a one-time TV event.

Recorded at the legendary London Palladium, this comedy show is filled with Michael’s witty comments on daily life. It’s an unforgettable evening as he celebrates a remarkable achievement.

Despite these circumstances, followers of The Wheel can rest assured that they won’t have an extended wait for the season 5 finale; it will be arriving relatively soon.

That episode will air one week later, on Saturday 21st December at 8:25pm.

In the last installment of Season 5 for The Wheel, renowned personalities like Rob Beckett, Katherine Ryan, Chris McCausland, Alex Jones, Nihal Arthanayake, Steve Backshall, and a special duo, Torvill and Dean, will be making an appearance.

For the very first time, this series of the show does not feature a holiday-themed episode, as the BBC’s lineup for Christmas Day is packed with other programs, specials, and films like Gavin & Stacey and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

Despite this, fans of Michael McIntyre can look forward to seeing him again on BBC One in the coming year, as he returns with another season of his long-running show, “The Big Show.” The series initially debuted in 2015 with a special Christmas episode.
