The World Ends with You director Tatsuya Kando leaves Square Enix after 29 years

Tatsuya Kando has left Square Enix after 29 years, he announced on Twitter.

Kando is particularly known for holding the position of director in several notable titles such as “The World Ends with You”, its remix version, “The World Ends with You: Solo Remix”, a spin-off title “Final Fantasy: All The Bravest”, and the enhanced version “The World Ends with You: Final Remix”. Additionally, he served as the series director for “NEO: The World Ends with You”. Beyond directing roles, Kando has worked extensively as an animation supervisor in multiple installments of the popular “Kingdom Hearts” series and various other “Final Fantasy” games.

Kando shared in a message that as of May 31, he has departed from Square Enix after spending nearly three decades there. During this time, he was involved in numerous projects such as Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and The World Ends with You, and the memories and skills he acquired are priceless.
