This New Xbox Controller Looks Exactly Like a PS5 Pad

You might not find it unusual that we’ve consistently favored symmetrical stick designs over the years, but rest assured, we don’t look down on those who prefer asymmetrical sticks. However, it is a fact that an exclusive corner in the underworld has been earmarked for such individuals.

Indeed, considering that PlayStation dominates the market, it’s quite logical that Microsoft would design an Xbox controller in a similar style to the DualSense pad. After all, imitation is often the sincerest form of flattery!

At CES 2025, there’s been an announcement about a new gamepad from Hyperkin’s rival. This wired controller is specifically crafted for intense gaming sessions. Unlike conventional analog sticks, it employs Hall Effect levers, known for their durability and precision. Similarly, the triggers in this device make use of the same technology, ensuring top-notch accuracy.

It’s important to note that this controller doesn’t come with advanced features such as haptic feedback or adaptive triggers, similar to what you find on the DualSense. However, it does offer the advantage of two customizable rear buttons, a feature often seen on professional controllers like the DualSense Edge.

At the moment, there’s no information about the price or launch date for the controller, but due to its strong resemblance to the PS5’s controller, it’s worth highlighting. It’s important to note that this gamepad can also be used with PC games, so you won’t be confined exclusively to Xbox if you choose to buy it.

At CES 2025, the device will be showcased, allowing visitors to test it out themselves. Consequently, we anticipate a flood of firsthand accounts about the device in the upcoming days.
