Sophia Bush is headed back to the small screen.
Sophia, an alum from “One Tree Hill,” announced on Instagram that she’ll be part of the cast on “Grey’s Anatomy.” In a playful video shared on October 16th, Sophia gives a sneak peek at her return to the operating room. The clip shows her adjusting her black top and jeans in a trailer before turning the camera around, revealing her in blue medical scrubs as she smiles into the lens.
According to Deadline, the actress has been announced for a recurring role as Dr. Cass Beckman – a trauma surgeon whose spouse is also a doctor at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The news outlet further stated that she will first appear in the November 7th episode of the series during its 21st season.
Though Sophia, known for her role as a doctor in the CBS series “Good Sam,” might be moving to another popular television soap, she’s definitely not leaving behind her “One Tree Hill” era.
Indeed, she’s all set to resume her character as Brooke Davis together with her previous castmate Hilarie Burton (known for playing Peyton Sawyer). They are both set to star in a Netflix sequel series and will jointly serve as its executives.
