As an experienced gamer with countless hours spent in various MMOs, I can confidently say that Throne & Liberty has managed to scratch my itch for exploration and discovery. The Temple of Sylaveth, hidden in the northwest of Stonegard Castle, offers a thrilling challenge that’s just the right mix of intrigue and combat.
Throne & Liberty provides a variety of side quests to keep you engaged when main gameplay becomes repetitive. These tasks involve finding scattered documents across the game’s diverse locations, even within dungeons that are both instanced and open world. In this guide, we will assist you in finishing the “Evidence of Corruption” codex entry!
Evidence of Corruption Exploration Codex Guide
Should you find yourself unfamiliar with the Temple of Sylaveth, it lies north-west of Stonegard Castle. Keep in mind that this location transforms into a Player vs Player combat zone during the night hours!
For the Evidence of Corruption codex entry, you only have three objectives. For the first one, we have a guide on how to find the Temple of Sylaveth Record that should help you. As a quick summary, though, the note can be found in the southeast corner of the first room.
Objective #2 – Destroy the Jar of the Dead
Instead of tackling the earlier sections of this side quest, let’s head straight to the final part first since the Jars of the Dead might appear anywhere within the Temple of Sylaveth. You could come across them as soon as you step foot in the dungeon for the very first time.
These are simply large, unassuming clay pots scattered across this area. A single standard attack is enough to shatter them. The main challenge you might encounter during this process is if other players are present to achieve the same goal.

Objective #3 – Dark Specters
As a gamer embarking on the climax of this intriguing expedition, it’s time for me to face off against three elusive Dark Specters. To proceed, I must venture further into the depths of this labyrinth, pushing forward until I uncover the second level.
On your journey, you may encounter a wizard known as the Berserk Shade Wizard. If you haven’t completed the Dark Researchers quest yet, make sure to defeat him. Once you reach a lower level, explore the area until you locate a pillar with energy pulsating in a dark blue hue.
To bring forth the Dark Specters, you must initially activate them. To make them appear, you should slay the surrounding foes, causing an orb above the pedestal to expand until it triggers a collapse.
Based on your location within the dungeon, you might have to hold off and wait for one or two additional groups of enemies (mobs) to reappear at their camp before you can completely power up the area. Clear them out swiftly using an ‘area effect’ skill to expedite the process!
When a pillar has been completely filled with energy, it transforms into a Dark Specter. This adversary has a special icon (red) on the minimap, yet its power is comparable to that of standard enemies. As such, you can effortlessly discover Dark Specters that other players have summoned and overlooked.
To finish the “Evidence of Corruption” codex entry, you’ll have to perform this task a total of three times. Since it’s unlikely that no one else is farming this dungeon, you can quickly accomplish all three kills by simply running through the rooms on the second floor once. The pillars appear to have fixed spawn points.
Regardless of whether you’re socializing at a gathering or enjoying solitude, it’s strongly suggested to employ area-of-effect attacks.
