Throne & Liberty: Qualification of Being a Guild Owner Exploration Codex Guide

Alright matey, I’ve been through me share of treacherous quests in me time, but this one here’s a doozy! Now that we’ve got the Ornate Chest from atop the cliff, it’s time to follow the blue grapple spots like they’re breadcrumbs on the path to the top. Mind the orange rock, it’s a right springboard when ye need it!

In the game Throne & Liberty, there are numerous objectives for those who enjoy exploration, even though they might not be crucial to the main progression of the game. This guide will assist you in completing the “Qualification of Being a Guild Owner” sequence, which is found under the Sandworm Lair section of the codex entry.

Great, I haven’t gone through this process myself yet, so let’s explore it together! To start, click on the ‘favorite’ button, which you can identify by its star icon, located in the upper right corner of the entry itself. By doing so, each step will be tagged on your guide for easy navigation.

Ensure you don’t overdo the number of favorites to avoid confusion later on. Now, let’s dive into the requirements for becoming a “Guild Master”!

Step #1 – Find the Ornate Chest

This one is incredibly simple. All you need to do is go to the middle of the Sandworm Lair zone, which is conveniently close to a teleport waypoint. Just follow the highlighted circle in the map, which should be, as expected, right in the center. Watch out for the aggressive sandworms!

If you stay on the elevated terrain, you’ll eventually come across an intricately designed chest hidden under a natural archway. There will be a faint, floating light blue symbol above it, making it very noticeable from afar. You can either jump onto it or use your ability to fly and reach the location.

After you engage with the chest, the task is finished and you’ll get 3x ‘Tasty Food Selection Chests’ as your reward. Onto the next challenge!

Step #2 – Finding the Overzealous Merchant

To achieve your next goal, you should engage with the lively vendor, who resides at the Western Meeting Point, which is situated a bit southwest from the Sandworm Den.

The NPC will be clearly indicated on the map for your convenience. Simply follow the blinking light blue marker in your minimap, and you’ll find her eventually. After interacting with her, she will reveal a sketch or at least a portion of it to you.

She’ll instruct you to search for the missing fragments of what seems like a hint pointing towards a secret stash of treasure. Consequently, your task now is to locate these ripped pieces of parchment.

After finishing your conversation with the NPC, you’ll get some common healing crystals as a prize. Not particularly thrilling, so let’s move on to the next stage!

Step #3 – Back Into the Sandworm Lair

To locate the third part of the sketch, you should retrace your steps back to the Sandworm Lair. From there, proceed along the path that leads northeast from the Gathering Campsite. Continue following this straight path until you discover a way to descend into what appears to be a hatchery.

As a fan, I recall marking that side quest earlier, so now it’s just a matter of following the indicated section on my map as I typically do. Delving into the hatchery and keeping an eye on the circle in my compass, I’ll eventually encounter a place where I can attach my grappling hook – a familiar spot from my adventures.

Switch the direction after hoisting yourself up with the hook, and from this raised vantage point, you ought to spot another conspicuously labeled Treasure Chest down below.

Leap toward it and soar to collect the next part of your sketch! Doing so will also give you a bonus: twice as many premium quality material boxes from the chests. For the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle…

Step #4 – Finding the Final Piece

I suggest you consider moving directly north towards the Sandworm Lair Landmark, keeping yourself on elevated terrain as much as possible for the upcoming stage. This route should provide a good vantage point and make your journey smoother.

Make your way across the wooden suspension bridge, then proceed towards the Monster Researcher character, who’s stationed next to a cozy campfire where you can restore some of your health and magic points. Directly beyond him, you’ll find places to attach a grappling hook, labeled as “grapple spots”.

You’ll have a hankering to hop on the boulders and employ the bright orange one to propel yourself up towards the cliff above. Once there, simply follow the blue grappling points until you reach the pinnacle, where another Ornate Chest will be sitting in anticipation.

Once you finish this task, here’s your next destination hint revealed. Successfully completing this step will net you three times the rare healing potions for combat.

Step #5 – Following the Picture’s Steps

Alright, gamers! The hint’s got me heading to the tricky hideout known as the Queen’s Trap within the Sandworm Lair zone. If you somehow missed or accidentally skipped the image during our chat, don’t worry, you can always check it out again. Keep your eyes peeled and let’s conquer this lair together!

To take another look at the picture, simply open your codex, navigate to the ‘Collection’ tab. In this section, you will discover the clue in the category named “Near the Sanctuary Oasis”. It is identified as “The Guild Owner’s Picture” there.

In this step, you might observe that there isn’t a marker for it. However, don’t let that confuse you. Instead, look for where the “Queen’s Trap” text appears on your map. You should spot another, unmarked treasure – an Ornate Chest – in the area highlighted in the image below.

You can reach this place in several methods, such as simply strolling up to it or making use of the nearby blue grappling point. Instead, you could soar down from the last chest located above and saunter towards the indicated spot displayed below.

Upon opening, you’ll find the item the NPC mentioned earlier has been searching for – a seal. Additionally, as a bonus, you’ll get six high-grade material selection chests.

Step #6 – Wrapping Things Up

To complete your mission, all that’s left is to head back to the Merchant who was Overly Eager earlier on. I suggest using teleportation to get to the designated spot again, this will help you avoid numerous sandworms that may attack and drain your energy.

Alrighty, I’ll pass the seal to that overly enthusiastic merchant, wrapping up the quest line for the Sandworm Lair. In return, I’ll snag six top-notch, shiny crystals as my final reward.
