Umbrakan Boss Guide & Mechanics | Throne & Liberty
As a devoted fan, I can say that Umbrakan in Throne & Liberty is a formidable boss who predominantly employs Fury/Wrath Attack mechanics. In essence, he frequently switches between performing broad sweeping attacks and unleashing his powerful Fury/Wrath Attacks.
The crucial point is to concentrate on executing flawless defensive maneuvers against his Fury and Anger Assaults. You’ll know these are coming because they’re signaled by either a purple circle or a purple square on the boss. Each symbol indicates a distinct response: one for a purple circle, another for a purple square.
- Fury Attack (Circle) – Can be blocked with either stationary or rolling Blocks. It’s up to you.
- Wrath Attack (Diamond) – Must be blocked with rolling Blocks. You do a rolling Block when you press the Block key while moving in any direction.
Each time you successfully place a flawless block, you’ll increase Umbrakan’s stack count, which is displayed beside his name tag. Aim to accumulate 7 stacks for him as quickly as possible. It’s advisable to stay near him, as doing so may provoke his Fury and Wrath attacks.
Umbrakan’s Slam – Stun or Wipe
After Umbrakan executes between 8 and 9 Fury/Wrath Attacks, he’ll leap out of the arena momentarily before crashing back down. If you manage to Perfect Block 7 of his attacks, he’ll become temporarily stunned. Seize this chance to inflict heavy damage!
Caution: If Umbrakan has six or fewer Perfect Block stacks on him, he’ll swiftly eliminate you with a powerful slam immediately.
Once Umbrakan regains consciousness, he’ll leap to the center of the arena, unleashing another powerful area-of-effect attack. Subsequently, he will follow up with three successive Wrath Attacks. To dodge the damage, simply Perfect Block these sequences as you have done previously.
At this stage, Umbrakan will resume his earlier attack sequence. This includes standard attacks interspersed with Fury/Wrath Attacks that require Perfect Blocking before he charges. If you’ve got a high damage per second (DPS) build, you can quickly defeat him before the next charge!
To sum it up, our tutorial on Umbrakan’s battle strategies and techniques in Throne & Liberty has come to a close. If you require assistance with the Rancorwood Co-op Dungeon boss as well, be sure to peruse our guide titled “Conquering King Khanzaizin“.
