Thursday Murder Club star Pierce Brosnan shares new pics with cast

As a die-hard fan of Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club series, I can hardly contain my excitement for the Netflix adaptation! With the incredible ensemble cast that has been assembled, including Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Celia Imrie, and Sir Ben Kingsley, it’s a dream come true for every book lover out there.

Enthusiasts of Richard Osman’s top-selling cozy mystery series, The Thursday Murder Club, can hardly wait for any upcoming movies to be as thrilling as the Netflix adaptation of the initial novel in the sequence.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but credit the captivating allure of this production not solely to the towering success of the source material, but also to the remarkable ensemble of talents that have been meticulously gathered. Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Celia Imrie, and the esteemed Sir Ben Kingsley headline an exceptional cast, each bringing their unique magic to the vivid characters they portray.

Now, previously James Bond actor Brosnan has posted two fresh photos of himself with some well-known figures on Instagram. One snapshot features him with his 90-year-old mother Mary, while another includes director Chris Columbus, Osman, and none other than the esteemed Hollywood figure Steven Spielberg – who is currently working as a producer for the movie.

Accompanying this picture, he penned the caption: “Check out who stopped by our set recently! None other than the legendary Steven Spielberg and the equally impressive Richard Osman. Spending the summer of 2024 in such great company – I’m filled with gratitude!”

Earlier this week, Osman posted a picture taken on the set, where he’s seen with Spielberg. In his caption, he said: “Steven Spielberg encounters a contest winner on the set of #TheThursdayMurderClub.”

Additionally, this adaption boasts a highly talented ensemble of supporting actors, including David Tennant, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Richard E. Grant, Tom Ellis, Ingrid Oliver, and Jonathan Pryce – each of whom play significant parts.

As I sat down to watch this film adaptation of the initial installment in Osman’s captivating series, I couldn’t help but feel a strong sense of anticipation. The skillful blend of story and visuals has me convinced that, should this movie prove successful, we may very well see further chapters unfold on the big screen.

The team undoubtedly has a wealth of resources at their disposal, as there are currently four novels in this series. The second book is titled “The Man Who Died Twice,” the third is “The Bullet That Missed,” and the fourth is “The Last Devil to Die.”

As a dedicated cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that Osman is immersed in crafting his fifth literary masterpiece. Just recently, he’s taken up his pen to begin a new draft, setting the stage for another captivating tale.

Spielberg continues to be prolific as a producer, while his most recent directorial effort was 2022’s The Fabelmans. He is also set to direct a new “original event film” which is scheduled to release in 2026.

The Thursday Murder Club is yet to confirm a release date.
