A content creator’s life has ended in unfathomable tragedy.
23-year-old beauty influencer Valeria Marquez tragically lost her life on May 13, following an incident at her beauty salon in Jalisco, Mexico. A man reportedly entered the salon and fatally shot her, as stated by the local attorney general’s office in a translated report.
The incident unfolded during Marquez’s live broadcast on TikTok from her Blossom Beauty Lounge, as stated by the attorney general’s office. Footage of the tragic event was shared across multiple platforms, showing her appearing to grip her stomach before becoming motionless.
The incident involving gunfire occurred around 6:30 in the evening according to the initial findings of the attorney general. Emergency services arrived following a 911 call, but unfortunately, paramedics found that Marquez was already non-responsive when they got there.
When the report came out, authorities were already present at the scene, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to clarify the details of the attack and find Marquez’s attacker. The report further mentioned that this incident was classified as femicide – a term referring to the killing of women or girls due to their gender-related motives.
The forensic team is preparing to move Marquez’s body to their lab for a postmortem examination and identification by her family members.
Leading up to her demise, Marquez – who boasts an Instagram following of over 173,000 and 128,000 on TikTok – shared a collection of modeling shots and selfies online. As news of her passing spread, numerous admirers took to commenting on these posts, expressing their condolences and paying tribute.

A different user, translating from Spanish, stated, “Nobody should have to perish in such a manner.” They also expressed their condolences, saying, “May this lovely young lady find eternal peace.
