TikTok Star Anna Grace Phelan Dies at 19 After Inspiring Cancer Battle

The influencer community has lost a beloved member.

19-year-old TikToker Anna Grace Phelan passed away on May 23 following a fight against brain cancer, residing in Jefferson, Georgia.

On their TikTok account, they shared a heartfelt statement: “Anna Grace Phelan, our cherished daughter, has returned to the loving embrace of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many of you have walked alongside her in her courageous fight against cancer and have been moved by her inspiring faith.

The message went on expressing gratitude for the numerous prayers for healing and tranquility. It’s comforting to know that she’s now in heaven, fully healed. Let’s keep in mind that the way to the heavenly kingdom we long for is found only through salvation in Jesus Christ.

Anna is mourned by her loved ones, including her father William “Buddy” Phelan, her mother Nadine Phelan, her brother Harper David Phelan, and extended family members.

Born in Orlando, Florida, Anna publicly shared her journey fighting brain cancer on various social platforms. Her diagnosis was made public in September 2024, just before she was due to begin her first year at college, as stated on her GoFundMe page and about a month following the onset of symptoms.

A week before she passed away, it was her final personal TikTok post that left me in awe. Anna had shared the heartwarming news that Tim Tebow had bestowed upon her an autographed copy of his book, “One-Year Devotional: Mission Possible”, a journal, a letter, and a cozy beige sweatshirt – truly priceless gifts from someone I deeply admire.

“It’s really comfy,” she said. “If you see this, thank you so much.”

During her last few days, Anna spent more time with her cherished family members and friends. On May 15th, a heartwarming video featuring her socializing with friends in a garden setting was posted on her profile.

Yesterday, the TikTok user shared with her audience that her brain tumor had progressed and could no longer be removed surgically. In a video posted on May 14th, she asked for everyone’s prayers, expressing her gratitude to them all.

Anna will be honored at a funeral at a church in Jefferson May 29.

In a TikTok video shared last August, Anna explained she had developed numbness on the left side of her face and right leg. She then mentioned setting up an MRI scan for her brain, which revealed a lesion in her brain.

Initially, I was feeling fine, but as the days passed, I found myself grappling with an unsettling deterioration in my health. My equilibrium began to falter, and I developed a troubling blind spot in my left eye. Regrettably, the numbness that had crept into my facial features and lower limb persisted. Adding to my concerns, my speech pattern became noticeably peculiar, and an oppressive fog enveloped my mind.

Later, Anna underwent a procedure to remove tissue from her brain (brain biopsy), which showed the presence of a growth – a tumor. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with an inoperable, high-grade, malignant and aggressive type of brain tumor known as glioblastoma.

In a TikTok video posted in September 2024, she expressed that the news she received was the toughest she’s ever encountered. She admitted it wasn’t simple, but planned to put her faith in the Lord and continue moving forward.

During her last days, Anna chose to spend more time with those dear to her. Additionally, a heartwarming video featuring her socializing with friends in a garden setting was posted on her profile on the 15th of May.

Previously, a TikTok user shared with her audience that her brain tumor had become larger and could no longer be removed surgically. In her video posted on May 14, she asked for everyone’s prayers, expressing gratitude for their support.
