Kyla Thomson posted on Instagram July 15, sharing that their valiant daughter, Bella, would continue dancing in heaven on July 14, 2024 at 4:19pm ET. Her final moments among us were peaceful.

For several years, Kyla has shared Bella’s health experiences through her blog and social media updates. She announced on Facebook that Bella was born with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) in December 2013 and later diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s disease – a condition affecting the large intestine, causing difficulties in bowel movements, according to Mayo Clinic. In 2015, Bella underwent a bone marrow transplant.

Bella was diagnosed with cartilage hair hypoplasia, a genetic condition as per the National Institute of Health that hinders proper bone growth. Additionally, she was battling primary pseudo-obstruction, a complex condition that made her a candidate for a bowel transplant, which she went through in 2023.

For years, I, Bella, have been through countless hospital stays and undergone nearly thirty surgeries, all with the unwavering support of my loving dad, Lyle, and my adorable 5-year-old brother, Waylon. My mom bravely shared our story, and it touched the hearts of over seven million TikTok followers. As a result, I had the incredible opportunity to meet amazing stars like Halsey, Ryan Reynolds, Katharine McPhee, and David Foster.
