With summer upon us, it’s perfect timing to catch a sneak peek at an upcoming Christmas movie titled “Tinsel Town“. This heartwarming holiday flick stars Emmy Award-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland and multi-talented actress, screenwriter, and producer Rebel Wilson in the leading roles.
In this version, Sutherland takes on the role of Bradley Mack, a once prominent Hollywood action hero whose career has taken a turn. He finds himself in a quaint, snow-covered hamlet to star in their peculiar adaptation of Cinderella. Here, he interacts with a vibrant assortment of unusual townsfolk who gradually win his affection, among them is the stern yet endearing choreographer Jill (Wilson).
In this new production, the renowned comedian Katherine Ryan (“The Duchess”) will assume the role of Mack’s patient agent, while British acting legend Derek Jacobi (“Gladiator II”), Mawaan Rizwan (“Juice”), Maria Friedman (“Unforgotten”), Jason Manford (“Waterloo Road”), Asim Chaudhry (“People Just do Nothing”), Danny Dyer (“Rivals”), Ray Fearon (“Barbie”), Alice Eve (“Star Trek Into Darkness”), Lucien Laviscount (“Emily in Paris”), and James Lance (“Ted Lasso”) will portray the local villagers. Meera Syal (“The Wheel of Time”) will direct this production. Emerging talent Savannah Lee Smith (“Cruel Intentions”) and Theodora Williams, making her on-screen debut, will also join the cast, along with Matilda Firth (“Wolf Man”) and Eden Hamilton (“The Railway Children Return”).
In the initial glimpse from Hollywood, we see Bradley Mack (played by Sutherland) together with his daughter Emma (Matilda Firth), along with Jill (Wilson) and her child Cara (Theodora Williams). They are all seen participating in a community Christmas event at a nearby school.
The screenplay for this production was written by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, and Piers Ashworth, along with supplementary content by Jake Brunger. It was then brought to life under the direction of Chris Foggin in the movie titled “Bank of Dave”.
Tinsel Town will be coming to Sky Cinema for Christmas 2025.
