TNA Champion Says Door is Still Open for WWE Return

TNA Champion Says Door is Still Open for WWE Return

As a hardcore wrestling fan and someone who has followed AJ Francis’ career closely, I’ve seen his journey from his time in WWE as Top Dolla with Hit Row to his current run in TNA as the Digital Media Champion and a member of the First Class tag team. His release from WWE seemed like the end of an era for him, but it looks like he’s not done making waves in the wrestling world yet.

A released WWE veteran, AJ Francis (formerly known as Top Dolla), hasn’t been ruled out for a potential comeback. Following his termination in September 2020 due to the merger between WWE and UFC leading to TKO, Francis experienced a setback in his career after dealing with health concerns that impeded his performance. Since then, he has actively participated in the independent wrestling circuit and joined TNA, where he currently holds the Digital Media Championship title. He’s also formed a successful tag team with Rich Swann called First Class.

AJ Francis Still Communicates With WWE Officials

Following his release, it appeared that Francis’ wrestling journey had reached its conclusion. However, this was not the mark he intended to leave behind. In the interim, he has devoted himself to various other pursuits, such as music. This period of exploration has enabled him to gain a deeper understanding of himself as an entertainer and has further bolstered his self-assurance.

In a recent interview on “The Angle Podcast,” Francis shared, “I had conversations with Paul Heyman and Triple H not too long ago. I continue to keep in touch with everyone over there. However, currently, I’m focusing on my individual endeavors. Previously, you may have thought of me as the imposing figure in Hit Row who only stands tall and looks menacing. But if you take a closer look now, you’ll realize that your initial assessment was incorrect.”

As a gamer in TNA, I can’t help but feel elated about the turn of events that has unfolded for me. Tommy Dreamer guarantees me a mic during every episode, and I seize every opportunity to speak my mind. My speaking segments are not just ordinary ones; they take place in significant spots where the stakes are high. And let me tell you, there’s no one out there who can match my oratory skills. It’s been that way since day one, and it remains true to this very moment. The truth is, I thrive when I have a microphone in hand. If anyone doubts my abilities, they’re welcome to challenge me – give me a mic, and prepare to witness a master at work. If you don’t believe me, step back six feet and let the battle of words commence.

TNA currently collaborates with WWE, leading to talent swaps involving notable figures such as Jordynne Grace (Knockouts World Champion), viral sensation Joe Hendry, NXT’s Charlie Dempsey and the No Quarter Catch Crew members Tatum Paxley, among others. It’s plausible that with an engaging narrative, TNA’s Francis could experience a return to WWE programming similar to Ash (formerly known as Elegance, currently Dana Brooke).
