TNA's Joe Hendry Reveals He's Sticking Around WWE NXT After Win at Great American Bash

As an ardent wrestling enthusiast with over two decades of ringside spectating under my belt, I must say that Joe Hendry’s performance at WWE NXT’s Great American Bash has been nothing short of exhilarating! The TNA veteran certainly knows how to captivate an audience and keep us on the edge of our seats.

Following an enjoyable performance at the first week of WWE NXT’s Great American Bash, TNA star Joe Hendry suffered a brutal assault by Gallus, casting a shadow over the event. This encounter set up a one-on-one fight between Hendry and Gallus’ leader, Joe Coffey, during tonight’s week two of Great American Bash. The crowd welcomed Hendry warmly. From the instant he entered the ring, Hendry was ready to go, consistently outsmarting Gallus throughout the bout. He even managed to eject the rest of the group, which opened the door for a triumphant victory for Hendry. However, he also emphasized that he intends to stick around for some time yet.

As a die-hard fan, I’d express it like this: Just as expected, Joe Hendry stormed into the ring before the first bell even chimed, sending Wolfgang and Mark Coffey tumbling to the floor with a swift leap over the ropes. Despite his attempts, Joe was countered and thrown back into the arena by Hendry. The bell finally rang, but Joe wasn’t down for long; he retaliated with a massive slam followed by an impressive splash on the TNA star. Hendry responded with a knee strike to the jaw, forcing Coffey to reconsider his strategy. When Coffey tried another splash, Hendry gracefully moved out of the way and returned the favor with a thunderous slam of his own.

In the fight, Hendry repeatedly struck Coffey with powerful blows, then sent him tumbling to the ground with a strong forearm strike. A clothesline later sent Coffey crashing to the floor. However, Coffey managed to regain control in the ring, halting Hendry’s offensive and even knocking him down with a counterattack. To add to Hendry’s troubles, Coffey held him back for a while longer.

A Step Ahead

Returning from my break, I found Gallus trying to take down Hendry outside the ring. However, he was well prepared. He maneuvered us towards the apron, grabbed a chair, and hurled it at us before leaping onto the announce table. By the time the referee turned around, we were holding the chair, which led to our swift ejection from the ring.

During the match, Hendry was unstoppable and defeated Joe, causing the crowd to roar “We believe” in excitement. He delivered a powerful blow, securing the pin and the win against Gallus, earning a warm welcome from the audience. After the contest, Hendry expressed his satisfaction with NXT and hinted at an extended stay. He also challenged anyone in the locker room who had issues with him to confront him again in NXT next Tuesday.

If Hendry isn’t leaving anytime soon, it’s possible we might catch him involved in the Championship scene. Recently, Ethan Page defeated another contender, and since both Hendry and Page have connections to TNA, they may clash in upcoming episodes. For now, let’s wait and see!
