TNA's Nic Nemeth Becomes World Champion at Slammiversary

As a devoted fan of professional wrestling and a proud supporter of TNA, I can confidently say that Slammiversary was an unforgettable event that delivered in every way possible. The 6-Way Elimination Match for the TNA World Championship was the highlight of the night, featuring some of the most intense rivalries and unexpected twists that left me on the edge of my seat.

At TNA’s Slammiversary, the pivotal moment was a thrilling 6-Way Elimination Match. With Moose, Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian, Josh Alexander, Nic Nemeth, and Steve Maclin as contenders, the tension was palpable due to their ongoing rivalries. The match didn’t disappoint; it brought several unexpected twists and turns. One of the most jaw-dropping moments was when Hendry eliminated Moose. But the real stunner came next: Alexander betrayed everyone by turning heel and eliminating Hendry. As more competitors were eliminated, Kazarian and Nemeth remained. In a surprising turn of events, Nemeth emerged as the new TNA World Champion.

A Failing Alliance

In the beginning, Moose aimed to form an alliance with Kazarian, but this plan went awry when both were assaulted by other fighters trying to eliminate them from the contest. The audience favored Hendry and he began strongly, but Moose recovered and focused his attacks on Hendry. However, Hendry countered by lifting Moose up for a suplex, sending the Champ crashing onto the floor. Meanwhile, an old rivalry resurfaced as Alexander attacked Maclin with multiple suplexes. He then targeted Kazarian and Nemeth with the same move.

In the ring next, Moose continued his battle against Hendry. He heavily stomped on Hendry in a corner, yet suddenly found himself and everyone else crashing to the floor. Nemeth then executed a move over the ropes, causing Moose to collide with the ground once more. Following suit, Kazarian unleashed a series of cutters around the ring, culminating in one that he applied on Moose for a successful pin attempt. However, Moose managed to show resilience and refused to be pinned down.

Moose and Kazarian attempted another partnership, but it didn’t last long as tensions rose once more between them. Instead, Moose focused on taking down Hendry. Afterward, Nemeth became Moose’s target. Alexander received a powerful dropkick in the corner from Moose, but he managed to recover. In response, Moose executed a superplex on Alexander, yet Alexander survived and remained in the fight.

As a fan, I’d describe it like this: When things really heated up, everyone except Alexander got knocked down. He stood firm and continued to unleash powerful chops on Moose and Kazarian. The fight spilled outside, and Alexander was sent crashing hard against the entrance ramp. Hendry and Moose attempted to push each other off the ramp, but neither managed to do so successfully. Kazarian tried a similar move on Nemeth, but he kept his footing and countered with a well-timed superkick, sending Kazarian crashing through a table positioned below.

Alexander Shocks the World and a New Champion

Up until that point, Maclin was the sole contestant who had been eliminated. However, Hendry returned to the arena with the intention of making Moose the next elimination. Hendry executed a fallaway slam on Alexander and repeated the move on Nemeth. He then performed the same maneuver on Moose, but outdid himself by ultimately eliminating him, resulting in a new champion being crowned. The audience was taken aback as Alexander retaliated with a surprise low blow, followed by his own elimination of Hendry. The crowd erupted in anger and booed Alexander.

After attempting to tackle Nemeth, Alexander was met with a swift kick instead. In retaliation, Nemeth brutalized Alexander and secured the pin, sending him home. With only Nemeth and Kazarian remaining in the ring, Kazarian aimed for a submission hold. However, Nemeth countered, delivering a powerful superkick just as Kazarian managed to evade complete elimination. Kazarian was then bested by Nemeth’s finisher, making Nic Nemeth the freshly crowned TNA World Champion.
