TNA's Speedball Mike Bailey Crowned New X-Division Champion at Slammiversary

As a long-time fan of professional wrestling, I have seen my fair share of thrilling matches and unexpected twists. But none have quite matched the intensity and drama of TNA Slammiversary’s X-Division Championship bout between Mustafa Ali and Speedball Mike Bailey. The stakes were already high with the Title on the line, but the underhanded tactics from Ali took things to a whole new level.

As a gamer, I could rephrase that as follows: During the electrifying TNA Slammiversary match for the X-Division Championship, it was me, Mustafa Ali, against fan-favorite Speedball Mike Bailey. The Title was already a significant prize, but things took a turn when I resorted to unsportsmanlike conduct. I grabbed the referee to shield myself from Bailey’s kick, which ultimately resulted in my entourage pinning him down for an unfair win. To tip the scales further in my favor, I even brought in Hall of Famer Earl Hebner. But against all odds, Bailey managed to emerge victorious and claim the X-Division Championship. This triumph not only brought him glory but also gave a much-needed boost to Hebner’s reputation.

A Thrilling Rivalry

In the beginning, Ali frequently provoked Bailey and attempted to provoke him, but this strategy often backfired. Instead of being unsettled, Bailey gained momentum and left Ali struggling to keep up. A pivotal moment occurred when Bailey delivered a series of kicks, sending the Champion crashing to the ground. In response, Bailey leapt over the ropes and landed a kick on Ali’s face while he was attempting to dismiss the challenger’s attacks as insignificant.

Ali’s taunts didn’t stop there, as he mockingly provoked both his opponent and the crowd in response. For a moment, it seemed like the Champion had the upper hand. However, this brief victory was shattered when Bailey retaliated with a series of brutal kicks that left Ali reeling. Despite missing the shooting star, Ali was given an unexpected chance to recover.

Despite that, Bailey retaliated with a Shooting Star press, successfully executing it. However, Ali managed to rise up before the count reached ten. Up top again, Bailey performed a Spanish Fly onto Ali’s entourage at ringside. Back in the ring, both wrestlers took a moment to recover. They resumed their fight, exchanging blows. But Ali seized the opportunity when Bailey missed a move and attempted a pin. Bailey managed to kick out just in time, followed by a powerful move off the ropes that sent Ali crashing to the floor.

Doing Anything to Win

Bailey attempted to climb to the top, but Ali grabbed him and retaliated with a fierce kick to the face. With Bailey on his shoulders, Ali executed a pin maneuver, but miraculously, Bailey managed to free himself. The audience booed Ali as he tried once more to ascend, only to land awkwardly on the mat. Regaining his composure, Ali rose again and knocked Bailey off the top rope. Unable to make contact during his next attempt, Bailey retaliated with a strong kick that missed its mark. To shield himself from the blow, Ali shrewdly positioned the referee in front of him. In response, Ali’s security intervened and restrained Bailey. With renewed determination, Ali executed his signature move, the 450, but he didn’t stop there.

As a longtime wrestling fan and observer of the sport’s most iconic moments, I can’t help but be in awe of the intense and thrilling encounter between Ali and Bailey. The scene was set with tension high and stakes even higher. Ali’s people held Bailey down, ready for another devastating splash from their leader.
