To the Night, here’s an uncommon yet fascinating journey you’ll embark on: You’re in search of three objects known as Courier’s Trial Keystones hidden within the Ancestral Temple. Once found, these keystones will unlock your quest. This guide aims to walk you through this adventure from start to finish.

How to Start To the Night, What is the Night’s
Previously discussed, you’ll require locating three essential items, and each of these can be acquired by successfully solving the Relay Balls challenge near the Ancestral Temple. Let’s tackle them sequentially.
Courier’s Trial Keystone #1
Navigate to the central waypoint within the Ancestral Temple, then proceed towards the north region to discover the initial Relay Balls challenge.
Reside within a Yumkasaurus and activate its ability (press E) to grab the ball. Subsequently, hurl the ball (hold E for directional adjustment) towards the platform. Following this action, an Exquisite Chest will materialize and the initial Courier’s Trial Keystone lies within it.
Courier’s Trial Keystone #2
The solution to the second riddle lies to the west from the designated landmark within the Ancestral Temple. Keep in mind that the moving platform may change its direction when struck.
In this situation, you should grab the ball initially and then change the direction of the platform by launching an attack on it with a Yumkasaurus attack.
As a fan, I’d position the ball towards the platform, then, once it’s been propelled, I’d strike the platform anew to alter its trajectory. This maneuver allows the ball to pass through the now-open gate. Puzzle solved and a treasure chest appears with the key inside!
Courier’s Trial Keystone #3
The final riddle can be found to your northeast from the designated spot. Interestingly, the Relay Balls challenge has become less complicated this time around. To start off, please pick up the green ball that’s positioned outside the securely locked gate.
1. Toss the green ball to the Ball Path Converter, then sprint back towards the switch near the locked gate. Give that switch a good whack (or interact with it) to unlock the gate. With the gate now open, the ball can pass through and make its way to the platform within the gate. This action concludes the puzzle, and you’ll receive the final Courier’s Trial Keystone.
How to Complete To the Night, What is the Night’s
With three keys in hand, proceed towards the switch located south of the waypoint and engage it to initiate the “Quest to the Night, What is the Night’s Secret”. Following our quest guide, we’ll soon be venturing further into the temple by conversing with Legba. For now, let’s continue on this path.
In this part of the location, the challenge is to arrange all the lamps appropriately so as to trigger the switch that directs you to the final section. You’ll find 3 groups of lamps in this area that need to be turned on, one on the left side of the room, one in the center, and one on the right side.
Lights on the Center
Let’s start by focusing on the Yumkasaurus. Your task is simply to occupy this creature and make use of its unique trait to navigate to the central switch in the room, located just beyond the Pyroculus, and trigger it.
In this game, step back a bit so that you can spot two distinct lights. Adjust their vertical alignment by ensuring they’re at the same level, then halt the machinery when they’re perfectly aligned. This action concludes the puzzle and it applies to every puzzle in the game.
Lights on the Left
Move over to the left side of this room, and you’ll spot a Pyro bomb barrel. Use a Yumkasaurus to hurl it in the direction of the barrel, which will trigger an explosion. This blast should crack the wall above the barrel since it’s breakable; you can use Elemental Insight to check its vulnerability beforehand.
Please step into the room and engage with the switch for a straightforward riddle involving adjusting the lights so they all reach the same level. Here’s an easy way to identify when they’re even: The color of the light will transition from yellow to a red-orange hue.
Lights on the Right
1. To find the final source of light, move towards the room’s right-hand side.
To open it, head down to the level below the current locked door. There, you’ll find a set of both a pathway and stairs which will take you up to the second floor, more precisely, to the opposite side of the locked door.
Here are two things you’ll find: a switch for opening the door, and a gadget for solving the light riddle. Engage with each item and figure out the solution to the puzzle.
Once everything is lit, make your way back to the switch located near the entrance, and engage with it. The water level here should lower, allowing you to venture further into the ruins.
Subsequently, your task is to conquer Wayob (Dendro), carry on with the discussion and proceed with the mission, then you’ll be able to claim the achievement titled “No Taking Without Asking!“.
