However, he is particularly renowned for his action roles, including blockbuster franchises like Mission: Impossible, Top Gun, and the potential franchise starter “Edge of Tomorrow.” In other words, Tom Cruise’s career is incredibly diverse, as it encompasses a wide range of genres that many actors rarely venture into.

For approximately the past 15 years, Tom Cruise has predominantly concentrated on action films. Remarking that he has an endless list of goals, Cruise expressed a desire to step into uncharted territory: musicals. It seems he hasn’t settled on a specific script yet, but the idea of singing and dancing appeals to him.

In terms closest to what Tom Cruise has attempted before, we can point out “Rock of Ages,” though it may not conform to the usual definition of a musical. Regrettably, this production didn’t fare well at the box office and garnered negative responses from both fans and critics. Interestingly, Tom Cruise has demonstrated a keen interest in music throughout his career, as evidenced by his character’s dance sequences in “Tropic Thunder” and his sharing of musical dance scenes with his stunt teams to better communicate storytelling through movement. At present, Tom Cruise is working on an untitled project with Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the director of “The Revenant,” set for release next year. Additionally, there are rumors that he will be involved in a horror movie directed by Doug Liman.
