Tom Hanks knows a thing or two about working the camera.

On May 28, during the premiere of his latest film, “The Phoenician Scheme,” in New York City, the actor jokingly scolded photographers for hindering his progress along the red carpet, adding a dash of fun to the event.

Tom expressed urgency in a video posted by MTV UK on X (previously Twitter), suggesting that he wanted to move quickly so he could reach the group of people he was referring to, who appeared to be the journalists lined up in the press area. In a somewhat dismissive tone, he added, “You and your comfortable work environments.

As the camera crew kept clicking pictures, the 68-year-old actor, who features in the Wes Anderson comedy along with Benicio Del Toro, Bryan Cranston, and Scarlett Johansson, carried on his jovial act, at one point asking them to be quiet and then quickly flashing a friendly grin.
