Actor Tom Hardy, known for his roles in Venom, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Bikeriders, has agreed to provide narration for a three-part documentary series focusing on elite military units, titled “Special Forces: Most Thrilling Operations.
Besides serving as an executive producer, Hardy is also involved with the Paramount+ series that chronicles the UK’s Special Air Service (SAS). Each episode of this show narrates a genuine mission carried out by the team.
One of the investigations it will delve into pertains to actions similar to those taken during the Iranian Embassy Crisis in London, 1980 (Operation Nimrod).
Federico Ruiz, the Commissioning Editor for factual and unscripted content at Paramount+, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement: “We’re thrilled to welcome one of Hollywood’s top actors and a national treasure from Britain to narrate this fresh, new series.
Their remarkable tales become evident when you observe them; their true-life heroics and valor surpass what is typically portrayed by on-screen superheroes.
The show is created by Soho Studios Entertainment and Two Rivers Media, and Ian Lamarra, founder of the former company, stated that “Tom Hardy is an ideal narrator for this series. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, deeply passionate, and genuinely respectful about the topic, adding a truly premium quality to his voice.
In the upcoming movie “Venom: The Last Dance,” you’ll find Hardy appearing alongside stars such as Stephen Graham, Juno Temple, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Earlier this month, there were reports stating that he, alongside Dame Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, is close to finalizing a deal to act in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming series titled “The Associate.
