Tom Welling is in trouble with the law.
On January 26, just past midnight, it was reported by TMZ that the actor who portrayed Clark Kent in the television series “Smallville” was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated, as detailed in a police document.
According to officials, a 47-year-old individual was arrested at an Arby’s parking lot in Yreka, California due to his suspected intoxication. The authorities stated that a test revealed his blood alcohol content to be equal to or exceeding the legal limit of 0.08%.
TopMob News has reached out to Tom’s rep for comment but hasn’t heard back.
As a devoted fan and alumnus of “Cheaper by the Dozen,” I haven’t personally witnessed any public statements regarding my encounter with the authorities. Yet, on the very same day of my arrest, I took to Instagram to congratulate my wonderful wife, Jessica Rose Lee Welling, on her latest achievement.
Tom penned a heartfelt message on his birthday: “To our cherished Guardian who brings our aspirations into reality and motivates us even further! He is the proud father of Thomson, aged 6, and Rocklin, aged 3, with the equestrian. ‘We adore you beyond the stars and back!’
In 2019, the couple got married, which was four years following the legal end of Tom’s divorce with Jamie White in 2015.
In fact, he’s opted for a quieter life away from the Hollywood scene.
Tom shared with his ex-co-star from Smallville about a realization he had during his recent experiences at fan conventions: understanding the source of one’s happiness. He elaborated by saying that these events taught him the importance of staying composed and appreciating what he has, acknowledging, “I’m still learning to practice it—something we all strive for.
He added, “On Smallville, I felt like I was a boxer trying to survive.”
