Tomb Raider Series Surpasses 100 Million Units Sold

As a gamer who’s been around since the days of the original PlayStation, I can attest to the sheer longevity and impact that the Tomb Raider franchise has had on our community. With over 100 million games sold, it’s clear that Lara Croft’s adventures have captivated generations of gamers like myself.

We haven’t had a chance to try out a fresh Tomb Raider game for some time, yet the series still ranks among the giants in gaming, consistently maintaining strong sales figures.

On Twitter, Crystal Dynamics shared that the Tomb Raider franchise has surpassed another significant sales threshold, selling more than 100 million copies of its various releases so far. As of May 2022, the series had already sold over 88 million units globally, implying an additional 12 million units have been sold in the last two and a half years.

Crystal Dynamics has unveiled the remastered versions of Tomb Raider 4-6, which are being developed by Aspyr Media. The upcoming collection will boast improved editions of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. This remastered set is scheduled for release in February.

Currently, Crystal Dynamics is developing the upcoming primary installment of the Tomb Raider series, set to be released by Amazon Games.

We are incredibly thrilled to announce that a significant achievement has been reached by Tomb Raider: the game series has surpassed 100 million units sold! Although Tomb Raider’s official anniversary is yet to come this month, we simply couldn’t wait any longer to celebrate this incredible milestone with you all.
