Over the past while, Netflix has been putting a lot of effort into the animation field and it’s paid off with some impressive achievements. Shows like Castlevania, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have played a big role in establishing Netflix as a top destination for animated content. In the coming days, we’ll see the arrival of another exciting addition to their lineup – Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. The Showrunner Shares Lara Croft’s Secrets
Previously this year, our team at egmr.ru had an engaging conversation with Tasha Huo, the showrunner of “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft”. In our discussion, Huo shared that they frequently collaborated with Crystal Dynamics, the game producers, to ensure an authentic portrayal of Lara. Huo expressed that they received approval to depict Lara’s life during the interim period, which she found captivating after playing the “Survivor” series. According to her, this Lara is significantly different from the one we knew in the ’90s and beyond.
Huo went on to say, “I found myself pondering, ‘How did she transform into this character?’ This query turned out to be a major challenge while creating the series. I was essentially trying to unravel how Lara managed to establish such an extensive network that eventually led her to connect with a monk in a remote monastery. How did she come to know that person? To me, it was intriguing to discover the answers. How did she develop her humor? It was exhilarating to craft the initial Lara we all grew fond of.
Tomb Raider’s Release Date
On October 10th, you can stream “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft” on Netflix. This action-packed series spans across eight episodes and serves as a continuation after the prequel trilogy, introducing Lara Croft as a fully fledged explorer and adventurer.
