According to an initial report from Deadline, the characters’ tales are set to be updated for today’s times, with a television series being developed by Lookout Point – a studio recognized for hits like Happy Valley and Am I Being Unreasonable?

The six-episode production, entitled “Hampstead Heist,” has received the go-ahead from BritBox and is scheduled to film towards the end of this year. In the process, Eclair-Powell expressed that penning the drama was a long-cherished dream. He further remarked, “Christie’s detective pair are quick-witted, sharp, and eager to unravel numerous murders, while pondering if they should be more than just partners in crime.

Tommy and Tuppence have previously appeared on screen, such as in the 1983 ITV drama “Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime,” starring James Warwick and Francesca Annis, as well as in the 2015 series also titled “Partners in Crime.

The latter was a series for BBC One, which starred David Walliams and Jessica Raine.
