Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Will Include THPS 4’s Unique Missions Through Pro Goals System

Developer Iron Galaxy has clarified that not every feature in the game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be immediately available to players. Instead, as reported by VGC, some content can only be unlocked after players accomplish a specific number of tasks within each level.

The primary focus of the content under discussion is certain distinctive goals from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4. Iron Galaxy stated that these specific goals couldn’t be incorporated into the main missions for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 due to a time limit of 2 minutes per mission. Instead, you’ll find these missions accessible through the remake’s Pro Goals feature, which becomes available once you’ve accomplished 10 goals within a single level.

In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, the goals were exceptionally distinctive, and it was only during THPS 4 that they became achievable due to the game’s departure from its conventional (at the time) level-based structure where players had just 2 minutes to accomplish tasks. Instead, the game adopted a more open design, enabling players to explore levels freely without any time constraints. This allowed them to attempt these missions at their leisure, which ranged from executing specific tricks at particular locations, to unusual objectives that primarily focused on exploration.

The remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, titled collectively as THPS3+4, are set to be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and an unnamed upcoming Nintendo console on July 11. In anticipation of the launch, which is now only a month away, Activision has shared a launch trailer for the game. The video showcased various levels, tricks, playable characters (skateboarders), and even hinted at customization options that will let players wear the armor of Doom Slayer from id Software’s DOOM series.

Regarding the selection of playable characters in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, you’ll find a blend of skateboarding veterans and fresh faces. Among the notables is Tony Hawk himself, and one such fresh face is Bam Margera. His inclusion was announced in a trailer released in May, during which the renowned skateboarder expressed his fondness for the Tony Hawk video games.

He stated, “In many sports, it’s all about hitting a ball back and forth until someone misses. However, this particular game offers so much more – you can smash through structures, climb poles, or even slide down handrails. The possibilities are endless! And what’s amazing is that people of all ages, from grandparents to young children, can find joy in this game.

I think it’s time to resume playing video games as they seem quite enjoyable now. Should I miss any more flights in the future, I have a plan ready.

In the game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, it has been confirmed that Margielyn Didal will be among the playable characters, as shown in a trailer released in March.
