Tonys 2025: Mia Farrow and Ronan Farrow Have a Rare Mother-Son Outing

The 2025 Tony Awards is the perfect outing for Mia Farrow and her baby.

It turns out that the actress was accompanied by her former partner Woody Allen’s son, Ronan Farrow, during the 78th annual event which took place on June 8.

At Radio City Music Hall’s red carpet, Mia – nominated for Best Actress in a Play for “The Roommate” – posed elegantly in a full-cream suit, coordinating boots, and a silver handbag. Simultaneously, the journalist paid tribute to his mother by dressing her in all-black attire.

Despite Sarah Snook winning the award for her role in ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’, it was clear that Ronan remained his mother’s most ardent supporter. On Instagram, he shared a backstage video and expressed his pride with the caption, “Extremely proud of her.

He can’t hide his enthusiasm for Mia, as evident by the caption he chose for his touching post: “Managing my mother at the Tony Awards.” (Take a look at all the celebrities here.)

The 37-year-old is aware that his actions contributed significantly to reviving the career of the actress famous for “Rosemary’s Baby,” who had been absent from the limelight for close to a decade.

In an interview with Variety in January, he expressed, “I see a career like my mom’s, and she’s simply amazingly gifted.” He continued, “I frequently meet directors and writers from our generation who are captivated by her body of work and eager for her to continue sharing it and her talents.” He added, “It’s not surprising that at times she’s hesitated to return to it.

He admitted that getting her to take the leap once again “did take some conversation.”

Wow, I’ve been absolutely thrilled to pieces about the fact that Ronan mentioned Mia’s electrifying stage performance alongside Patti LuPone! It seems the world can’t get enough of it, and for good reason too!

He revealed that numerous actors complimented him on his outstanding performance. He was pleased to acknowledge this, explaining that he merely suggested she read the script first, promising it would be worthwhile if it was well-written. Now, she’s at a point where, if the opportunity is right and offers a deep, rewarding role, she’ll accept it. It’s a blessing for everyone involved.

For Mia’s part, receiving her nomination was something she had never envisioned, and the first person who came to mind was her mother, Maureen O’Sullivan.

She expressed that she hadn’t even contemplated such an occurrence when speaking to Deadline in June. When the nomination came, she found herself tearing up. The sheer joy of the nomination itself overwhelmed her, making her think about how thrilled her loved one would have been and how happy she was. It all felt surreal to her.
