It appears that the public adores this group unconditionally as they portray humorous and critical events fictitiously. However, there are moments in their past actions that leave people questioning their decisions.

Rickety Cricket is likely one of the most memorable characters in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Since his debut in season two, Matthew Mara played a priest who endured bullying from the gang during their school years and harbored deep affection for Sweet Dee. However, upon leaving the priesthood for Dee and discovering that she never truly reciprocated his feelings, his life took a turn for the worse, one that would not recover.

Over the course of the series, I’ve been a part of some pretty harrowing events involving Cricket. We’ve broken his legs, plunged him into drug addiction, forced him into homelessness, left him scarred and humiliated, shot him, and much more. In one instance, Mac and Dennis even pursued him like real-life hunters. It seems that every misfortune imaginable has befallen Rickety Cricket, all as a result of the actions taken by our group.

In various episodes of the show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the main characters often resort to actions like abducting and robbing people. A significant instance where they kidnapped someone was depicted in the episode titled “Paddy’s Pub: The Worst Bar in Philadelphia,” when they took a harsh critic captive, unintentionally grabbing his neighbor as well. Another instance occurred when they mistakenly kidnapped an entire family with the intention of giving them a dramatic home makeover. However, their plan went awry, ending in the unfortunate act of burning down their house.

On St. Patrick’s Day, Dennis, Dee, and Frank resorted to kidnapping festive celebrators when their van-bar plan failed, also taking their wallets. In the cellar of Paddy’s Pub, they mistakenly believed they had captured a leprechaun. It’s worth noting that kidnapping is an action the group has become quite familiar with, as they themselves were held captive in an episode from season three.

In the group, they start off with an explosive performance. After years of enduring relentless bullying and mockery from her peers, Dee finally reaches her breaking point. Instead of retaliating with anger, she sinks into sadness and depression. Dennis finds this response pitiful, but Charlie, Frank, and Mac decide to help Dee for once by encouraging her to pursue stand-up comedy. Over time, Dee gains popularity as a comedian, even coming close to appearing on the Conan show.

But the show wouldn’t be “It’s Always Sunny” without an unexpectedly funny plotline. Just as Dee steps out from behind the drapes, it’s exposed that her entire comedy career was fabricated by Charlie, Frank, and Mac. This elaborate scheme was designed to fuel Dee’s anger enough for her to revert back to her old ways. It’s a mind-boggling twist, one that would leave anyone utterly bewildered.

Midway through season thirteen, “The Gang Acquires New Vehicles” finds each member going their own way and fulfilling what the title suggests. Notably, Mac and Charlie reacquire the very bicycles they had as children, reminiscing about their prime years. Regrettably, just like in their childhood days, their bikes are swiped by some unkind kids. The ring leader of these bullies happens to be the son of their old school tormentor.

In typical “It’s Always Sunny” fashion, Mac and Charlie fail to address the issue intelligently. Instead, they resort to violence, using their full strength against the children, shoving them into cars, hitting them, and kicking them when they’re down, among other brutal acts. The rest of the group eventually stumbles upon them, bloodied and battered, causing them to believe that the boys might have been killed in the fight. If this is indeed the case, it would undoubtedly be one of the most absurdly humorous incidents.

It’s common knowledge within the series “It’s Always Sunny” that Dennis is an appalling individual, often portrayed as a manipulative, aggressive type who goes to great lengths to win over and spend time with women. On numerous occasions, viewers witness him coercing women into spending time with him, deceiving them for closer relationships, and many other unsettling scenarios. The show also presents several instances where Dennis appears to be , at times possessing the tools for violence and expressing dark fantasies about murder.

Dennis’ bedroom has been cleverly designed for someone to potentially be confined until they comply with his demands, which is as chilling as it appears. Fortunately, the show skillfully acknowledges this unsettling aspect, and we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Glenn Howerton portrays the character. Without Glenn’s exceptional talent, creativity, and comedic timing, Dennis could easily be one of the most petrifying sitcom characters ever.

Frank Reynolds, a character from the TV show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” has frequently alluded to participating in numerous dubious actions during his time abroad. He seems to have been involved in suspicious sweatshop operations in Vietnam, arms trading, and potentially even war crimes, although specifics are intentionally unclear.

This gruesome scene becomes even more chilling when Dennis retaliates by brandishing a fireplace poker. The episode bears a striking resemblance to The Shining, but with an unexpected twist.

Bill Ponderosa, often called Pondy, has proven to have a detrimental impact on the group just by being around them. His presence pushed him to contemplate suicide. However, the show’s creators managed to transform this grim situation into hilarious content. Despite his lingering feelings that it’s time for him to step down due to his run coming to an end, Pondy sees the writing on the wall and prepares to depart.

In a chilling turn of events, Dennis, Dee, and Frank couldn’t revive any life in him, which led them into a warped plan of taking out an insurance policy on him. Fortunately, Pondy avoided this dreadful scenario, preventing the trio from profiting off their scheme. Yet, it’s still a shocking revelation that such a sinister idea almost succeeded undetected.

While Dennis is often perceived as a harsh character within the group, it’s likely Sweet Dee who truly earns the title of cruelest in an episode called “PTSDee.” In this story, Dee finds herself being labeled her date’s rock bottom. Feeling insulted by this remark, she decides to demonstrate that she’s not as low as he suggests. To accomplish this, she attempts to assist him with his personal issues and manages to resolve them successfully. However, the climax of her plan involves intentionally proving that Dee is capable of sinking to rock bottom whenever she desires.

On the occasion, her partner – who happens to be a professional entertainer – was booked to put on a show at a woman’s birthday celebration. However, when the lights came back on, he realized that Dee had arranged for him to perform at her own daughter’s party instead. This revelation irreparably damaged their relationship, and Dee took pleasure in the misery she inflicted upon them, wallowing in her actions being labeled as “rock bottom.

In the Thanksgiving episode of “It’s Always Sunny,” the group aimed to resolve their numerous feuds with those they had wronged throughout the show.
