It has been verified by both Microsoft and Stoic Studio that the game titled Towerborne is set to debut on April 29th for Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and Game Pass. You can watch the most recent trailer of it here.
While Stoic is famed for the The Banner Saga trilogy, the game Towerborne boasts a comparable animated style and music score by Austin Wintory. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy realm where most of humanity dwells within the Belfry. The Aces are tasked with venturing beyond its walls, eliminating dangers, and acquiring resources.
Essentially, this game offers a captivating blend of scrolling action, brawling gameplay, and role-playing-style gear advancement. What makes it even more appealing is the local multiplayer mode that allows up to four players to join in together on consoles.
*Arrives on Xbox, the Microsoft Store, and Game Pass: Towerborne, complete with a fresh update, Class Mastery! For those interested, don’t forget to explore our early access review of its initial release, which has undergone several updates, content enhancements, and balance adjustments.
