At last, Towerborne by Stoic Studio is now playable on Xbox Series X/S through the Game Preview program! Initially released in Steam Early Access back in September 2024, it’s also accessible for Game Pass members. Take a look at the release trailer below, which showcases the diverse character classes and overall combat system.
In the role of an avid gamer, I find myself immersed in the side-scrolling beat ’em up, Towerborne. This game is set in a captivating fantasy universe where the last vestiges of humanity have sought refuge within the Belfry. With numerous perils still lurking, they send forth their elite team, the Aces, to traverse this tile-based realm. As I navigate through each tile, I reap rewards such as weapons and equipment. However, I might also encounter enigmatic beings known as Umbras, who can offer invaluable assistance on my journey.
Initially, we reviewed the PC version when early access launched, but since then multiple updates have been released, such as the Class Mastery Update. Simultaneously accessible with the Xbox Series X/S version, it revamps progression and introduces over 50 new missions. Additionally, cross-platform play is now offered along with a broader range of jobs, fresh Legendaries, and an improved questline for a more polished experience.
