As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen the evolution of RPGs from their 2D pixelated roots to the immersive, expansive worlds we know today. Towerborne, for me, is a breath of fresh air, harkening back to the cooperative spirit that defined games like Diablo and Baldur’s Gate in their heyday.
Initially released in early access for PCs earlier this year, Towerborne, developed by Stoic Studio, has consistently been updated to enhance and expand its cooperative Role Playing Game (RPG) experience. Recently, a third update has been launched, delivering more fresh content.
Initially, Update 3 introduces a fresh storyline quest where players join Forge overseer Bumble on a journey to the mountains to reignite his holiday cheer. In addition, holiday-themed clothing and accessories are coming, along with new sets of gear, weapons, and other items. Each day will bring 12 new festive in-game stickers as surprises, and the Belfry, your central location, will be adorned with winter decorations.
Furthermore, this upgrade incorporates localization for 18 different languages, additional events and adversaries, enhancements to gameplay quality, bug corrections, and further features. For a comprehensive breakdown of these changes, please visit this link.
Towerborne” can currently be played on PC as an early-access version, with a planned release on Xbox Series X/S expected around 2025. You can read our review of this game’s early access launch by following this link.
