Trace Cyrus Accuses Katy Perry of Copying Miley: Hair, Music, and Space Trip

Miley Cyrus‘ brother Trace Cyrus just threw a wrecking ball toward Katy Perry‘s career.

In simpler terms, the individual aged 36 years claims that the artist known as “Wide Awake” singer has imitated his 32-year-old sister in terms of hairstyle changes and music selections. Additionally, he seems to express criticism towards her recent space journey with Blue Origin.

Trace discussed Miley Cyrus’ iconic 2012 pixie cut in a TikTok on April 18th, stating that the drastic change caused quite a stir online and left everyone shocked. He then imagined a conversation between Katy Perry and her team, where they suggested replicating the style for Katy, to which she agreed, saying, ‘Yeah, yeah, we should. Should we do it? Like, slightly different? No, we’re gonna do it exactly the same.’

Between 2017 and now, Katy sported a platinum blonde pixie cut and later grew it out while changing it back to her signature black color in 2021. Neither she nor Miley, who praised their long-standing friendship with the other singer in 2017, have yet to respond to Trace’s comments.

TopMob News has reached out to their reps for comment and has not head back.

Miley Cyrus‘ brother Trace Cyrus just threw a wrecking ball toward Katy Perry‘s career.

The individual aged 36 years old is claiming that the “Wide Awake” performer has imitated his 32-year-old sister in terms of hairstyles and music selections. Additionally, he’s hinted critically at her recent space voyage with Blue Origin.

Trace talked about Miley’s drastic haircut in 2012, stating that it caused a huge stir online and left everyone shocked. He then imagined a conversation between Katy and her team, where they suggested copying Miley’s look, but Katy agreed to go all out and do it exactly the same way.

Between 2017 and now, Katy Perry sported a platinum blonde pixie cut before growing out her hair and returning it to her iconic black shade in 2021. Neither she nor Miley Cyrus, who expressed her deep bond with the other singer in 2017, have responded to Trace’s comments as of yet.

In his continuation, Trace mentioned that Miley had previously collaborated with artists like Mike WiLL Made-It, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J. He referenced a line from their 2013 song “23” where the lyric goes “J’s on my feet.” On the other hand, Katy Perry began exploring more hip-hop genres in her work.

In a playful exchange similar to another fictional dialogue, Katy, who is 40 years old, and her team were discussing strategies. One member suggested, “We’ll aim to have you join forces with the popular group, the Migos,” referring to their hit song “Bon Appétit” from 2017. The suggestion continued, “‘You’re going to follow in Miley Cyrus’ footsteps and create a stir, just like she did, and achieve fame.’

He went on to say, “Here’s something interesting: It didn’t function as expected. Then they attempted to play an EDM track or something because EDM is trendy right now. Still didn’t work. Now we’re considering sending you to space. Didn’t work again. It’s not functioning. It’s causing problems. Stop.

In the days following, Trace commented after Katy, who teamed up with DJ Alesso for the 2021 EDM hit “When I’m Gone”, embarked on a space journey alongside Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez, journalist Gayle King, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn. This marked the first all-female spaceflight in over 60 years.

In simpler terms, during the launch, Katy Perry’s daughter Daisy, who is 4 years old and dressed in a silver astronaut suit like Orlando Bloom, her father, watched the event. Inside the spaceship, while experiencing weightlessness for a brief moment, Katy held up a real daisy.

Although numerous individuals have lauded the team for their endeavor, Martha Stewart wasn’t the initial one to voice criticism towards Katy. It appears that Martha Stewart subtly criticized the female crew of Blue Origin by posting a retro video on Instagram on the 17th of April.

In a video recorded in 2007, Martha expressed that she felt similar to astronauts in zero gravity during her flight on G-Force One, a Boeing 727. At 83 years old, she compared her sensation to the lyrics of Katy Perry’s popular song “Firework,” wondering if anyone has ever felt like a bag carried by the wind.

Moreover, Emily Ratajkowski, Olivia Wilde, and Olivia Munn have expressed dissatisfaction over the expensive expedition to space by Blue Origin.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share some insights about Blue Origin – a space exploration venture I founded back in 2000 and headquartered right here in Kent, Washington. Our primary objective is twofold: harness the bountiful resources of space to enrich life on Earth and expand mankind’s footprint beyond our home planet by enhancing transport and creating habitable destinations in low Earth orbit.

To achieve these ambitious goals, we’re focusing on developing reusable rockets and engines to cut down the cost of space travel, making it more accessible for everyday people while promoting sustainability. In a 2016 talk at the Pathfinder Awards, I expressed our vision: “We aim to make millions of people live and work in space.” The key to achieving this lies in significantly reducing the cost of getting into space by prioritizing reusability.

Now, you might be curious about the price tag for a ride on one of our Blue Origin flights. Although the exact costs aren’t publicly listed on our website, we do require a deposit of $150,000 to secure your spot among the space-faring pioneers.

Named after the pioneering astronaut, Alan Shepard – who made history as the first American in space in 1961 – Blue Origin refers to New Shepard as a “fully reusable, autonomous suborbital rocket system designed for human travel.”

Seating six individuals within its pressurized crew capsule, it’s worth noting that there is no pilot seat on board, as the vehicle operates entirely autonomously.

New Shepard made its debut in 2015 during a flight test program consisting of 16 successful tests, all completed by 2021. In July of that year, New Shepard experienced its first human flight, with Jeff Bezos, his brother Mark, and an auction winner (who paid $28 million for the seat) on board. Other notable passengers included William Shatner and Michael Strahan later in the same year, though they were on separate missions.

The upcoming mission will be New Shepard’s 31st overall (hence the name NS-31) and its 11th human flight.

The upcoming NS-31 mission of New Shepard is targeting takeoff from Blue Origin’s Launch Site One, nestled within the Guadalupe Mountain range in the Texas desert, on April 14th. According to their website, the launch window commences at 8:30 a.m. (Central Daylight Time).

According to Blue Origin’s website, New Shepard astronauts make a journey that surpasses three times the speed of sound. They travel beyond the Kármán line, which is recognized as the boundary of space lying 62 miles (or 100 km) above Earth. Once they cross this threshold, they are free from their seats, experiencing weightlessness and marveling at our planet. The voyage concludes with a soft landing back on Earth, facilitated by parachutes. This journey is estimated to last approximately 11 minutes.

The team for mission NS-31 includes pop singer Katy Perry, morning talk show host Gayle King, film producer Kerianne Flynn, Aisha Bowe who founded STEMBoard and previously worked at NASA, bioastronautics researcher and activist Amanda Nguyen, and former news anchor Lauren Sánchez (who is engaged to Bezos). Interestingly, this will be the first all-female spaceflight crew since 1963, when Valentina Tereshkova of the Soviet Union embarked on a solo mission, becoming the first woman ever to travel to space.

Notably, Amanda Nguyen is set to make history as the first Vietnamese woman in space, and Aisha Bowe will be etched in history as the first person of Bahamian descent to venture where only a select few have gone before.

Each individual on this team has their unique motivations for joining this mission. For instance, Perry wishes to inspire her daughter Daisy, whom she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom, by demonstrating that any person, regardless of background, ethnicity, economic status, or education level, can achieve their dreams. King, who openly admitted her apprehension, aims to motivate others to venture beyond their comfort zones. If she succeeds, she believes it will pave the way for those hesitant individuals to follow suit and embrace new opportunities with excitement. Nguyen, on the other hand, sees this mission as an opportunity to realize a long-held dream that had been deferred due to life circumstances. She worked at NASA, studied astrophysics at Harvard and MIT, but her path was diverted by gender-based violence. After advocating for sexual assault survivors’ rights and passing the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Bill of Rights in Congress and the United Nations, she is now ready to honor her pre-traumatized self by pursuing her passion for space exploration once more.

As reported by Good Morning America, each crew member is scheduled to travel to the launch site ahead of the mission, where they’ll undergo training sessions. These sessions will involve getting tailored for their flight suits, familiarizing themselves with the capsule, learning effective communication methods with ground control, and reviewing safety procedures prior to the mission’s commencement.

Even though the crew as a whole was preparing for the mission, certain individuals like Bowe and Flynn took it upon themselves to conduct additional preparations prior to launch. For instance, Bowe ramped up his training intensity over the past year, completed a NASTAR simulation to simulate in-flight conditions, and scheduled a fighter jet flight. Similarly, Flynn underwent several zero-gravity simulations and NASTAR training in Philadelphia to acclimate herself to weightlessness and high pressure situations.

Here are a few of the items these women are taking with them:

* Nancy Conrad is carrying the Apollo 12 flag, as her mentor, Pete Conrad’s wife, asked her to do.
* Bowe is bringing plant samples from Winston-Salem State University’s Astrobotany Lab and dehydrated conch chowder as a tribute to The Bahamas.
* Nguyen has her mother’s shells from the island she fled, as well as a promise she made to herself after her assault. She also intends to bring the pen that President Obama used to sign the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Act, a coin from the Nguyen dynasty, and Freetown cotton tree seeds.
* King is bringing photos, while Sánchez is taking a stuffed animal of Flynn, the character from her book “The Fly Who Flew to Space.”

Each woman has personal items that hold special meaning for them as they prepare for their journey.

The crew has received encouraging messages from some stars, with King receiving a farewell video from CBS Mornings that featured Tom Hanks, Megan Rapinoe, Bill Nye, Drew Barrymore, and others. The Charlie’s Angels actress said, “Good luck,” and added she was looking forward to picking their brains as soon as they returned home.

On the other hand, Olivia Munn has voiced criticism about the mission. She questioned why it was happening at a time when there are more important issues in the world, mentioning the high cost of space travel and the struggles of those who cannot afford basic necessities like eggs. Munn also raised doubts about what the mission was achieving and described it as “a bit gluttonous.”

King acknowledged the criticism regarding Bezos and Blue Origin, stating that she found some of his decisions questionable but believed that this particular mission transcended one man and one company. In her view, it’s possible to support both the space voyage and other causes simultaneously.
