Tensions between Billy Ray Cyrus and Trace Cyrus have escalated.
Ever since my idol, Trace, publicly voiced his worries after Billy Ray’s inauguration show, I can’t shake off the feeling that something’s amiss between them. And now, it seems like the 35-year-old sensation has hinted at a potential legal battle brewing up between them, given their current feud.
Trace posted on Instagram on January 25th that he hasn’t yet received any word from his dad. However, his dad has reached out to a relative to inform him that he is taking legal action against Trace for urging him to seek help. In conclusion, Trace expressed his disappointment by saying directly to his father, “Dad, you live just 30 minutes away from me. Why didn’t you simply come and talk to me like a man?
Trace expanded on his perspective in a lengthier public message addressed to Billy Ray.
In a January 26 Instagram post, Trace expressed his message as exceptionally loving. He could have been much more straightforward about many issues, but he chose not to air family matters publicly. It’s unfortunate that after expressing concern for your well-being and asking for help, you responded by threatening me with legal action. Such a response is truly regrettable.
He went on saying, “I’m certain Pappy is viewing you with profound disapproval. You ought to feel embarrassed by your actions. Although I will always cherish you, I no longer hold you in high regard as a man. Those around you are too afraid to express their true feelings towards you. I am not. Seek help.
TopMob News has reached out Billy Ray’s reps for comment and has not heard back.
Trace’s recent messages follow closely after the musician, who is the older brother to Miley Cyrus (age 32), Brandi Cyrus (37), Braison Cyrus (30), and Noah Cyrus (24) – all siblings of his, spoke up about his father’s performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration. This topic generated conversation among fans.
In her January 22 Instagram post, Trace expressed, “For years, we – the girls and myself – have been deeply concerned about your wellbeing, yet you’ve kept us at a distance. As I compose this message with tears streaming down my face, I pray that you understand its intent is rooted in love and concern for your safety, fearing you might leave us too soon. It’s unclear what difficulties you’re facing, but I believe I have a good understanding, and I’d be more than willing to offer assistance if you would let me in.
Since then, Billy Ray’s former partner, whom we know as Firerose, has added her voice to the conversation. She revealed that “the way things are appearing publicly today echo a significant part of what I went through privately during our time together.
She expressed her sadness to Page Six on January 23rd, stating that it’s disheartening to witness the same difficulties persisting for him. However, she’s relieved that the truth is finally being revealed.

Trish and Billy Ray’s youngest, daughter Noah Cyrus, was born Jan. 8, 2000.
Between 2006 and 2010, Billy Ray portrayed Miley’s character’s onscreen father in the Disney Channel comedy series “Hannah Montana” and its 2009 movie version.

Noah was especially hurt, according to Trace.
In his message, he expressed that Noah deeply wished for your presence in her life, but unfortunately, you haven’t been there for her.
