3 days following the “Old Town Road” performer’s appearance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration sparked worry among some fans, Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish’s eldest son posted a poignant message to his father on social media. In this message, he provided insight into how their sister Noah Cyrus is coping amidst the family’s strained relationship with their father.

In a January 22nd Instagram post, Trace expressed that she and the other girls have had deep concerns about you for quite some time now, yet you’ve kept us all at arm’s length. Noah, more than anyone, yearns for you to be involved in her life, but it seems like you haven’t been present. That’s your own daughter, and she deserves so much better than this.

Billy Ray Cyrus married Tish Cyrus (née Leticia Finley) on Dec. 28, 2003.
