Update [Fri 24th Jan 2025, 2:15pm]: True to their word, NIS America has delivered! Now, I can grab not one but two demos of Trails through Daybreak 2 on my trusty PS5 and PS4.
The initial demonstration encompasses the game’s beginning, culminating at Chapter 1 of the primary plot. It typically takes players several hours to finish this part, after which they can carry over their progress to the full game upon its release on the 14th of February.
In the second demonstration, you can explore Marchen Garten – an expansive, randomly constructed labyrinth. This demo is primarily designed to offer you a sense of Daybreak 2’s battle mechanics, as it offers two pre-set teams for you to tinker with and test out.
NIS America, the publisher, has unveiled their intention to distribute a free-to-play demo of Trails through Daybreak 2 on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
The demonstration will be released next week, specifically on January 24th. You’ll find that it offers a solid experience as you can play through from the beginning of the game up until the start of Chapter 1. This amounts to several hours of gameplay. After that, you’ll be able to carry over your progress into the full game, which is scheduled for release on February 14th.
