Currently, not much is known about the upcoming anime collaboration involving Studio Trigger. However, they’ve hinted that a teaser will be released soon. Given that the 40th anniversary of Transformers is approaching at year’s end, the production team has ample time to create something special. It was Takara Tomy, a Japanese toy company famous for our beloved robots, who collaborated with Hasbro to bring Transformers into existence all those years ago. In Japan, Takara Tomy merged its Micro Change and Diaclone toy lines, and with some advice from Hasbro, the franchise took off. Today, there are multiple generations of Transformers for fans to admire, and Studio Trigger aims to honor them all in their work.
Indeed, there are more exciting developments for the Transformers franchise beyond this anime deal. Recently, they revealed a unique collaboration with Godzilla, and a movie is also in the works. On September 20, the film “Transformers One” will hit U.S. theaters, offering a glimpse into the early years of Optimus Prime’s bond with Megatron.
