Transformers One Ending Explained

As a lifelong fan of the Transformers franchise, I must say that “Transformers One” has truly outdone itself. This prequel film not only provides a compelling backstory to the iconic characters of Optimus Prime and Megatron but also sets the stage for the epic battles we’ve come to expect.

In a refreshing twist from the usual Earth-based battles, Transformers One transports viewers back in time, delving into the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron as Orion Pax and D-16. This prequel film offers closure to the conflict integral to the Transformers One storyline while also paving the way for the future we’ve come to recognize. Lucky for us, we can analyze the intriguing ending of this highly acclaimed Transformers movie!

Heed this notice: If you wish to avoid knowing the plot twists of Transformers One, take caution as we’re about to delve into major spoilers for both the movie and its surprising climax. Orion and D-16 initially function as mining robots in the film, but they evolve into characters that resonate with fans of Cybertron due to the events unfolding in Transformers One. The coming Megatron experiences betrayal because of Sentinel Prime’s actions, who is currently leading Cybertron and secretly working for the Quintessons.

The End is The Beginning

After D-16 brutally tears Sentinel Prime apart with his own hands, showing no remorse, he hurls Orion into a nearby abyss, solidifying himself as the antagonist that fans have grown to recognize. In a fortunate turn of events, Pax is rescued by the Matrix of Leadership and is crowned Optimus Prime. As they clash for the fate of Cybertron, Optimus emerges victorious over Megatron, exiling him from the city. Regrettably, this victory marks the beginning of the Decepticons’ formation.

Previously, the movie introduced a powerful Transformers group called the “High Guard,” who were once the most prominent in the realm but were banished by Sentinel Prime. This group included characters such as Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave, and several future Decepticons, with D-16 eventually rising to lead them. As a result of this exile, Megatron gathered his new army and vanished into obscurity. However, Optimus Prime didn’t let this hinder him from assembling an army of his own in response.

The Birth of The Autobots

After Megatron’s downfall, Optimus extends invitations to Elita-1 and Bumblebee to join him in rebuilding a superior Cybertron. Not only does he form the Autobots with their help, but he also employs the Matrix of Leadership to grant all Cybertronians the capability to transform, a power that was taken away from them under Sentinel Prime’s covert rule. In a concluding scene, Optimus addresses the Quintessons in a speech, declaring that his Autobots and himself are now committed to defending their home planet.

Absolutely, it’s no surprise that my favorite movie, Transformers One, included a mid-credits and end-credits scene to give us a peek into Cybertron’s upcoming events. The mid-credits scene had a touch of humor as Bumblebee caught up with his earlier co-stars, those inactive ‘bots who were the only companions Bumblebee had initially. On the other hand, the end-credits scene was quite serious and could shape the future of the Transformers franchise significantly. The appearance of Megatronus Prime and Megatron’s declaration to his Decepticons, symbolized by the High Guard, sets the stage for a formidable enemy force. Although a sequel for Transformers One hasn’t been announced yet at the time this article was written, it certainly paves the way for an exhilarating Cybertronian future.
