As a long-time fan of the Transformers franchise and someone who has spent countless hours in movie theaters, I must say that I am beyond excited about the upcoming “Transformers One” and its innovative use of Barco’s HDR laser projectors! The thought of seeing Optimus Prime and Megatron brought to life on the big screen with such vibrant, dynamic images is almost too good to be true.

Transformers One is leading the way in introducing a groundbreaking theater projection system worldwide. According to Variety, Paramount Animation and Hasbro Entertainment are set to introduce Barco’s “HDR By Barco” laser projectors. There’s been plenty of excitement building for the upcoming animated Transformers feature. Regal Cinemas, AMC Theatres, and B&B Theaters will experience the Belgian cinema technology this fall. Beginning September 20, five HDR by Barco auditoriums will give fans a chance to witness the buzz firsthand. Here’s what the company has shared about their new laser technology!

What’s Going On With Transformers One?

In a comeback to big-screen animations, Transformers One narrates an origin tale for Optimus Prime and Megatron. Chris Hemsworth lends his voice to Orion Pax, who hasn’t yet assumed the commanding role of Autobots leader that we recognize. His closest friend is D-16, portrayed by Brian Tyree Henry, who eventually transforms into Megatron in opposition to Pax.
