As a woman who has struggled with weight issues and health concerns myself, I can relate to many of the stories shared by these individuals. It’s inspiring to see how they have embraced their journeys towards better health and well-being. Some, like Golnesa Gharachedaghi, have been open about their use of Ozempic for weight loss and other potential benefits, such as anti-aging. Others, like Remi Bader, have shared their concerns about the drug’s impact on binge eating and overall health.

Alabama Barker is keeping fans up to date with her lifestyle change.

Eighteen-year-old daughter of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler shared that she’s now using a weight loss drug following harsh online comments about her weight.

Alabama expressed in a video, recorded by a fan during a get-ready session, that she no longer needs to take weight loss medication. She added, “I’m sick of being overweight and feeling like I appear as an ugly troll in photos.”

She mentioned, “I have a habit of taking pictures of unattractive subjects.” Yet, others respond with surprise, “Wow, you’re really heavy and not attractive at all.”

But as Alabama noted, she does think the comments aren’t 100% warranted.

She replied, “I understand your perspective, but when we meet in person, you may find that I don’t look exactly as you imagine.”

Shanna, Alabama’s mother, has confessed in the past to using Mounjaro, a medication approved by the FDA for managing Type 2 diabetes, following the passing of her parents in 2023. However, it is unclear if she is still taking this weight loss drug now.

In the depths of despair, I found myself in a bleak and dismal state. My once dedicated routine of healthy eating and regular exercise had come to a halt. I succumbed to my cravings, consuming food that didn’t nourish my body or uplift my spirit. The emptiness inside me grew as I longed for the comforting presence of my beloved parents, who were no longer with me. Desperate for relief, I turned to food, using it as a numbing agent to mask the unbearable pain.

Regarding Alabama, the teenager has expressed her views on her appearance before. In an Instagram conversation back in April, she labeled a fan as delusional for assuming she underwent plastic surgery.

In February, she responded to a comment on social media from a user who remarked, “It seems this young girl has undergone numerous cosmetic procedures. I hope she doesn’t go overboard; she currently looks nice.”

Alabama replied with a grin, “Thank you so much for the compliments! I may enhance my lips a little, but beyond that, I embrace my natural beauty in full.”

I’ve been following her social media closely, and she doesn’t shy away from sharing her beauty secrets. In fact, she proudly introduced us to her skilled aesthetician, Anush Movsesian, back in October. According to her, he’s simply the best in Los Angeles!

As a patient who has struggled with weight issues for most of my adult life, I can understand why some healthcare providers might consider prescribing Ozempic for off-label use to help their patients lose weight. However, it is crucial that we all respect the rules and regulations governing the use of prescription medications.

For the comedian, Handler, Ozempic is nothing to joke about. She discovered her doctor prescribed this medication, unbeknownst to her, with an emphasis on its anti-aging properties.

During the January 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy, I was taken aback. I had no idea I was partaking in it, but she casually suggested, “If you’d like to shed five pounds, give this a try.”

But while she tried the drug, Handler noted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.

After returning from my vacation, I injected myself with the medication. A few days later, I met a friend for lunch, and she mentioned she wasn’t eating much due to feeling sick. She was on Ozempic. I also felt queasy, but I had just come back from Spain and was still dealing with jet lag.

In the end, Handler chose to no longer take the medication as it was unnecessary for her health, and she generously distributed the leftover doses to her friends.

She admitted to giving Ozempic injections to around four to five of her friends, explaining, “I found it unnecessary for myself to use it.” She continued, “This medication is primarily intended for obese individuals. With guests dropping by at 1 and 2 o’clock, I find myself playing hostess instead.”

After coming off the drug, Bader, who is candid about her struggle with compulsive eating, remarked that it led to a harmful pattern of overeating.

She shared her experience: “I visited a doctor, who told me with absolute certainty that my current condition was a direct result of my use of Ozempic,” she said. The medication had suppressed her appetite for quite some time, resulting in weight loss. However, she grew concerned about the long-term effects and decided to discontinue its use. “I assumed that once I stopped taking it, my hunger would return full force,” she continued. “Unfortunately, my binge eating worsened significantly after coming off the medication. So, in a way, I ended up blaming Ozempic for my uncontrollable cravings.”
