In a retro video from their “New Heights” podcast, posted on July 23rd, Kansas City Chiefs star (who is dating Taylor Swift) was caught taking a call during an interview. His ringtone seemed to be the distinctive screech of R2-D2 from Star Wars.
The post was captioned, “Trav had the greatest ringtone of all time in 2015.”
Patrick Mahomes, the Quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs and a teammate of the athlete, reacted by posting the video on X with the comment: “He’s still got that ringtone laughing.”
Travis isn’t limited to using ringtones inspired by movies in his phone. In fact, back in 2023, WSJ. Magazine mentioned during an interview with the NFL player that his phone’s ringtone was Chris Farley exclaiming “For the love of GOD!” – a well-known line from the 1995 comedy film “Tommy Boy.”
He has employed customized ringtones in the past, including playfully using a tune titled “Travis is a Winner” for his 2023 Campbell’s soup advertisement featuring Jason and their mother Donna Kelce.
These days, Travis is unable to answer the phone as he’s currently traveling the globe with Taylor and attending her Eras Tour concerts in person.
He also attended the shows of Patrick and his wife Brittany Mahomes in Amsterdam, and made his debut on the Eras stage by joining his girlfriend onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Lately, they, who have triumphantly claimed three Super Bowl titles with the Chiefs since 2020, have reconnected with their teammates during training camp in preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 NFL season, commencing in September.
