Triangle Strategy Has Been Temporarily Delisted from the Switch eShop

As a dedicated fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of Square Enix games, I must say, the recent turn of events regarding the temporary unavailability of Triangle Strategy on the Nintendo Switch eShop has left me slightly perplexed. It’s not often that I find myself without a copy of my favorite strategy RPG at arm’s reach, and this brief hiatus is testing my patience.

Among the outstanding games released by Square Enix recently, the turn-based strategy role-playing game Triangle Strategy stands out as one of the best and perhaps less recognized. However, there appear to be some adjustments happening behind the scenes for this game on the Nintendo Switch.

Through a Twitter post, Square Enix shared that they’ve temporarily withdrawn the game, “Triangle Strategy,” from the Nintendo Switch eShop. Don’t worry if you can’t find it for purchase right now, as it’s only a temporary removal. If you’ve already bought the game, you can still play it. At this time, there’s no specific date for when the game will return to the eShop, but Square Enix is actively working on it and will provide updates once more information is available.

Previously, the company had experienced something similar. In fact, earlier this year, the original Octopath Traveler was temporarily taken down from the Switch eShop. When it reappeared, its publisher on the store switched from Nintendo to Square Enix. It’s plausible that Triangle Strategy, which Nintendo published worldwide for the Switch, may have also had a change in publishing licenses to Square Enix, leading to the alteration in its eShop listing.

You can find “Triangle Strategy” on Nintendo Switch, PC, and Meta Quest virtual reality headsets. Here’s our take on the game in our review. (Link to the review provided)

On Nintendo Switch eShop, Triangle Strategy isn’t currently available for purchase at this time. However, if you’ve already made a purchase, you should be able to download the game.

We are working on this and will update when the game is able to be purchased again.
