As a long-time fan of Trigun and Vash The Stampede, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming sequel series, Trigun Stargaze. Having grown up with the original anime, I’ve watched Vash’s adventures unfold, cheering him on as he navigated the dangerous Planet Gunsmoke. So, to finally see Yasuhiro Nightow, the creator of Trigun, involved in this new project is nothing short of a dream come true.


Studio Orange has long-awaited anime enthusiasts by reviving Vash The Stampede and the classic anime, “Trigun”. They are currently developing a new narrative set on the planet Gunsmoke, which revisits the origins of the Humanoid Typhoon. In this sequel series, we can expect further exploration of Stampede’s story. We recently spoke with the producers at Stargaze about Yasuhiro Nightow, Trigun’s creator, and his role in the upcoming series, which marks the conclusion for this remake.

During a conversation with Producer Yoshihiro Watanabe, the creator openly discussed their experience working on Stargaze and the team’s ongoing concerns, “To be honest, there has always been a sense of uncertainty and worry. From the beginning, this concern never went away. While we acknowledge that this concern never subsided, at the same time…we eagerly await feedback from fans. In truth, the fan response – It has been incredibly encouraging for us. Regarding creator Yasuhiro Nightow, he has been extremely supportive, and for Stargaze, his support for our project has been even more forthcoming.”

Trigun Stargaze: What Can Fans Expect

In the teaser for “Trigun Stargaze”, fans might gain insights into what’s to come, as it may share similarities with other productions by Orange, given that the same staff members are moving forward in their careers or collaborating with peers. Notably, Tatsuro Inamoto, an outstanding creator, is at the helm of this project. He is deeply immersed in animation and consistently ponders ways to innovate, always pushing the team to reach new heights.

The series provides an intriguing new look at the world of Planet Gunsmoke. “Despite being a happy-go-lucky gunslinger, he has a $6 million bounty on his head.
