The gaming developers at Bithell Games, along with publishers Devolver Digital and Big Fan Games, have unveiled that the game TRON: Catalyst is set to launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on June 17. This announcement was accompanied by a trailer, which you can view below for more information.
As well as revealing its launch date, the freshly unveiled trailer for TRON: Catalyst showcased some of its gameplay features. These range from navigating a digital city on a Light Cycle and battling foes with the Identity Disc, to what seems like a time-rewinding skill that enables players to engage enemies tactically.
Back in October, it was announced that TRON: Legacy game will allow players to step into the role of Exo as he confronts the rulers of the Arq Grid. Throughout his journey, Exo will employ his Identity Disc and a power known as the Glitch to advance.
In addition to featuring aspects of “TRON: Legacy,” the gameplay will incorporate rogue-lite mechanics. Similar to Metroidvania games, the more you explore the Arq Grid, the more alternative paths and secret areas will become accessible.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m super excited about the upcoming sequel to “TRON: Identity,” developed by Bithell Games in 2023. This new title seems to be a continuation of that narrative, and I can’t wait to dive back into the captivating world it creates. The game appears to employ a visual novel-like structure for storytelling, which I found intriguing in its predecessor. Plus, there’s an added layer of excitement as I hunt for hidden clues scattered throughout the environment. Solving puzzles seems to be at the core of the gameplay experience, and I can hardly wait to put my detective skills to the test!
TRON: Identity is available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
