Having followed the webtoon since its inception and then watching the K-drama adaptation, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster. And now, with the anime adaptation, it feels like I’ve stumbled upon a fresh take on a familiar story.
The cliffhanger at the end of Season 1 was enough to make me bite my nails down to the quick! I mean, Jugyeong kissing Seojun after a drunken night? Oh boy, that twist has left me with more questions than a philosophy exam. The anticipation for Season 2 is palpable, and I can only imagine the drama that’s in store as the story unfolds.
I can’t help but wonder if Suho will be heartbroken or seek revenge, or perhaps both? Will Jugyeong choose Seojun over Suho, or will she find herself torn between the two? And let’s not forget about the shipping wars that are sure to erupt among fans!
For those who have been rooting for Seojun and Jugyeong since the beginning, Season 2 of True Beauty’s anime is definitely one to look forward to. But for now, all we can do is keep our eyes peeled for more updates, which I hope will come sooner rather than later.

As a massive fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over the latest adaptation of “True Beauty” into an anime! Compared to the popular K-drama starring Moon Ga-young, Cha Eun-woo, and Hwang In-yeop, this anime offers a truer-to-life portrayal of the original webtoon. The commitment to following the webtoon more closely necessitated a second season to fully unfold the story. While the K-drama reached a satisfying conclusion within 16 episodes, the anime barely grazed the surface of the entire tale, only covering around 60 of the webtoon’s 200+ chapters.
Above all, the first season of “True Beauty” anime ended quite dramatically in Episode 13, with Jugyeong kissing Seojun following a night of intoxication. This surprise development not only sparked many questions about her future relationship with Suho but also made a second season an absolute necessity.
