Approximately three years after its initial console announcement, the highly-anticipated game titled “American Arcadia” will now be available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 with a confirmed release date.
On May 15, 2025, the captivating adventure game developed by Out of the Blue Games and published by Raw Fury will be available on consoles, evoking the intrigue of The Truman Show.
In simple terms, American Arcadia tells the story of a seemingly perfect city that unwittingly serves as a 24/7 reality TV show. The least favored characters in this show are eliminated, and a resident named Trevor Hills is attempting to break free. Fortunately, he has covert support from someone within Arcadia.
In this game, you switch between controlling two main characters: one being Trevor, who you navigate through a 2.5D platform world within the city while dodging potential hazards, and the other being Angela, a stage technician, whom you control in first-person mode as she explores and solves puzzles within the game.
Launched for PC in 2023, this game garnered positive acclaim from critics who appreciated its distinctive graphics, diverse game mechanics, and immersive narrative.
