Trump’s Surprising Reaction to King Charles III’s Alleged Commonwealth Offer!

Donald Trump is happy to be included.

As a devoted admirer, I eagerly followed the intriguing news about King Charles III potentially extending an invitation to the United States to join the Commonwealth – a distinguished union comprising 56 nations once governed by Britain. Naturally, my curiosity was piqued, and I couldn’t help but express my thoughts on this fascinating possibility via social media.

Trump expressed his fondness for King Charles in a March 21 post on Truth Social, referencing an article from The Sun. “That sounds appealing to me!” he added.

Despite neither Charles nor Buckingham Palace confirming the rumor, Trump’s reaction arrived approximately a month after he initially implemented tariffs on products under the United States-Canada-Mexico Agreement for the first time.

In retaliation to the tariffs, Canada’s Department of Finance imposed a 25% tariff on approximately $30 billion worth of goods imported from the U.S., effective March 4th. A few weeks later, Trump announced additional tariffs that would be in effect until April 2nd.

As for what Trump has said about Canada amid the recent trade tension?

Trump stated during a press conference on March 14th: “Canada functions effectively as a nation, but we don’t require anything they offer. If it were a state, it would rank among the best anywhere. It would make our country even more spectacular in terms of its visual appeal.

He went on to say, “If you examine a map, they placed a man-made boundary smack in the middle, dividing Canada from the U.S., a simple, straight line drawn long ago. This boundary was set decades back and it doesn’t make sense at all. It’s almost perfect, like a prized and beloved state.

In simpler terms, during that time, Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, expressed his view that starting a trade war by President Trump was a “foolish” or “unwise” action.

The outgoing Canadian politician made it clear during a March 4 press briefing that “Canada will never become the 51st U.S. state.

Earlier this month, Carney emphasized that Trump’s words about Canada have been “disrespectful.”

Carney stated to reporters in London on March 17th (as reported by Reuters), “They’re not useful, and they must cease their actions before we can engage in discussions about our comprehensive relationship with the United States.
