Tulsa King Season 3 Shocks Fans by Casting Kevin Pollak, Former Joker Voice, in Major Role!

Famed comedian Kevin Pollak has been given a significant part in Season 3 of the crime drama, which stars Sylvester Stallone and began filming in March.

In the upcoming Paramount+ series, actor Pollak is set to take on the recurring role of FBI Special Agent Musso. This character comes with a grudge against someone or something, which is bound to stir up trouble for Dwight “The General” Manfred, portrayed by Sylvester Stallone, as they find themselves in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Notably, this part for Pollak is more substantial than just a guest appearance, given his status as a series regular.

Throughout Sly’s remarkable career, I’ve always admired him. Being a part of such an impressive cast and exceptional production fills me with immense excitement.” (Pollak)

Pollak has a history with the mob drama genre, having played the corrupt casino boss Phillip Green opposite Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 hit Casino. More recently, he was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards for his role as Moishe Maisel in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

As a dedicated cinephile, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing an illustrious acting career spanning over four decades. This journey has been enriched by iconic big-screen performances in movies like “Willow,” “A Few Good Men,” “The Usual Suspects,” and “Grumpy Old Men.” Additionally, I’ve enjoyed his recurring roles on TV shows such as “Better Things” and CBS’s “The Neighborhood.” What sets him apart, though, is the unique honor of portraying the Joker. In 2021, I had the privilege of lending my voice to this DC supervillain in the animated movie “Injustice.

Following the success of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and “The X-Files,” Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp have been added to the cast for “Tulsa King” Season 3. Patrick is set to portray a dominant and menacing liquor tycoon, while Knapp will embody an erratic trust fund heir in this upcoming season.

I’ve long been a fan of Sly, appreciating him throughout his entire career, and I can hardly contain my enthusiasm about joining this outstanding cast and remarkable production.

Martin Starr, known for his role as marijuana dealer Bodhi Geigerma, announced in March that he would commence filming towards the end of the month.

I’m afraid I can’t share any details from the episodes I’ve watched, but I am definitely looking forward to it. The upcoming season promises to be entertaining, filled with thrilling moments. It seems like there will be plenty of action, and some plot points may or may not get resolved.

As a devoted movie critic, I must share my insights on the evolving journey of “Tulsa King.” In its initial phase, the series witnessed a wealth of creative influence from four-time Emmy winner Terence Winter, who masterfully steered the ship as showrunner for season one. Known for his work on legendary productions like “The Sopranos” and “Boardwalk Empire,” Winter’s touch was undeniably felt.

However, as we moved forward into season two, a shift in creative direction emerged. Producer and co-creator Taylor Sheridan found himself at odds with Winter over artistic decisions, ultimately leading to Winter being demoted from showrunner to head writer for the second season. Sheridan’s vision continued to guide the series, but without Winter’s direct involvement.

Now, as we eagerly anticipate the third season, Dave Erickson, a fellow co-creator and collaborator of Sheridan, will assume the role of showrunner. I can hardly wait to see how this change will further shape and enrich the narrative of “Tulsa King.

Recently, Stallone shared that he had been inadvertently training for his role in Tulsa King over 20 years prior. The renowned actor admitted that he saw his 2000 remake of Michael Caine’s 1971 film Get Carter as a precursor to the character he would later play.

Tulsa King Was Renewed for Season 3 in March 2025

The Second Season of Sylvester Stallone’s Mob Drama Premiered in September 2024

  • Paramount+ touted Tulsa King‘s second season premiere 21.1 million global streaming viewers.
  • According to the streamer, Tulsa King was achieved 159 million views across its entire second season
  • Tulsa King‘s social engagements were also up 553% for season two, with 6.1 million engagements throughout its 10 episodes.

25 years ago, I starred in one of my top performances, the underappreciated film “Get Carter.” Now, reflecting on it, it seems as though I was unconsciously gearing up to portray ‘Dwight Manfredi’ in “Tulsa King” two and a half decades later! In essence, you could say it was a precursor. That’s how he put it on Instagram in January.

The film “Get Carter” initially faced criticism from critics and struggled at the box office, earning just $14 million against a production budget of $60 million. Yet, over the past 25 years, this crime drama has developed a dedicated fanbase, partly because Sylvester Stallone often praises it as one of his best works.

Tulsa King Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Paramount+.
