What Is Twisters About?

In simpler terms, the movie “Twisters” focuses on Kate Cooper (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones), a storm chaser turned meteorologist in New York City who is reluctantly drawn back to the Midwest by her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) to try out an innovative tracking system. Once there, she meets Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a charismatic and risk-loving social media influencer who enjoys sharing his storm-chasing experiences with his rowdy crew. As the storm season gains strength, unprecedented weather events arise, placing Kate, Tyler, and their respective teams in the path of several converging storms in central Oklahoma, forcing them to battle for survival.

Led by the direction of Lee Isaac Chung in “Minari,” the film “Tornadoes” features an impressive cast including Brandon Perea from “Nope,” Sasha Lane known for her role in “American Honey,” Daryl McCormack starring in “Peaky Blinders,” Kiernan Shipka notable for her work on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” Nik Dodani recognized for his performance in “Atypical,” David Corenswet famed for portraying Superman, Katy O’Brian appearing in “Love Lies Bleeding,” and Maura Tierney, a Golden Globe award winner for her role in “Beautiful Boy.”
