Two More Marvel Rivals Characters Have Already Leaked

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for Marvel lore, I must admit that the leaked details about Ultron and Mr. Fantastic have me both excited and cautiously optimistic. The idea of Ultron serving as a support character, with his drones healing teammates, is intriguing and could add a unique dynamic to the gameplay. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good robot uprising?

The anticipated release date for Marvel Rivals is December 6th, yet details about the game’s post-launch plans have begun to surface prematurely. Art and specifications for two new playable characters have leaked online, offering a sneak peek into potential future additions. Based on these leaks, it appears that Ultron and Mr. Fantastic will join the game at a later stage. However, the exact progress of these characters or their release date remains uncertain. Regardless, both characters sound quite intriguing as possible playable options!

Based on information from @RivalsLeaks, it appears Ultron will function as a supportive character in the game. A significant portion of his gameplay revolves around summoning drones to assist other players, whether offensively or defensively. Ultron’s abilities include ‘Firewall’, which summons drones to heal nearby players, and ‘Patch’, which brings in a larger drone that follows a teammate, primarily healing them, while also healing others who come within range. The character’s appearance seems to draw heavily from the comics, but with some elements inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for added detail.

Details about Mr. Fantastic’s characteristics and game mechanics are credited to @RivalsLeaks as well. At present, it is not yet confirmed, but there are indications that Reed might be part of the Vanguard class in the game. The developers seem to be experimenting with Reed’s elastic abilities, featuring Elastic Punch attacks and a Reflexive Rubber ability that allows him to extend himself to absorb attacks and send them back at his adversaries. In Marvel Rivals, Mr. Fantastic’s design appears to deviate from the traditional blue suit often linked to the Fantastic Four. Although there is still some blue in his new costume, it predominantly features white. It seems that NetEase took inspiration for Reed’s updated look from the team’s Future Foundation era!
